Super-premium cat foods 🥇 differ greatly in composition and quality. There are no strict criteria for placing a food in one category or another. High-quality super-premium foods are often grouped with holistic ones, but some experts might downgrade them due to less beneficial ingredients, allergens, or flavor additives. That’s why when choosing food, it’s essential to focus on the ingredients and your cat’s specific needs 🐾.

🚫 What should NOT be in the food:
• BHA, sodium metabisulfite, and other harmful artificial preservatives — in super-premium cat foods, these are replaced by harmless tocopherol (vitamin E) and natural plant extracts (such as rosemary 🌿);
• Flavor enhancers, artificial flavors, and appetite stimulants (e.g., monosodium glutamate, digest) — a high-quality, protein-rich food will be eaten willingly by pets without harmful additives 🐟;
• Sugar (sucrose) — it can cause digestive issues and lead to weight gain 🍬;
• Soy, low-grade by-products (such as horns, tails, hooves), and fats with unspecified origins.
