Sphynx Cat Phoebe

Sweet Phoebe baby is gone. No longer any pain. She purred and was loving up until the end. She passed away peacefully in my arms, at home, on December 4th, 2019. Thank you all for the loving thoughts and kind words. I posted this to my personal page but wanted to make sure to post it here, too. Phoebe and I appreciate all the love over the years. 💕

Hi to all my friends. This is Phoebe’s mom. I have bad news. We spent 5 hours at the vet today and did a multitude of tests and it was confirmed that Phoebe has cancer. It is in her liver, intestines, some of her lymph nodes and a mammary gland... the vet said she only has like 4% normal liver (the rest is all tumors) so it’s in advanced stage and there is blood/fluid around her liver. He showed me the ultrasound pics. He gave me the option to euthanize her there, today, or bring her home with pain meds. She really wanted to get back in her carrier so I brought her home. I gave her pain meds and she is resting in her blanket right now. I have an appointment with a mobile vet from Lap of Love to come to my house and euthanize her tomorrow in her blankie, at home. My poor old girl. I’m so sad. My heart is broken but I’m happy she had a long life. 15 is old for a Sphynx! She will always be my baby girl. Thank you for all the love for my dear, sweet girl all these years. We both appreciate it.

I decided to wake mommy up by bringing my p**py butt into the bed. Then, when mommy tried to tuck me in she got my p**poo on her hand. She then smelled said p**poo and uttered some swear words and got up to wash her hands. She then gave me a new blankie because I got p**p on it! She then forced me to have a butt wiping... I’m so happy in my new blankie, though! Now, mommy is awake at 5:45am and she’s pi**ed. I’m going back to sleep.
