Sunshine is an adorable little lady who is dreaming of a home where she will be a cherished family member. She is a 10 year old yorkie who weighs 12 pounds.

Sunshine is used to being someone's one and only and, if you ask her, that's exactly how she wants things to stay. Sunshine would love a family that will include her in their adventures. Whether it's going along for a ride in the car or just lounging on the couch this girl is ready when you are.

Sunshine has an adorable way of communicating with her people. She will literally talk to you when she wants to play, be picked up or have a snack. This girl has personality plus. Because she can be a chatterbox it's believed she would not be compatible with apartment living.

Sunshine will need a patient home that will guide her potty habits. She doesn't like to go outside alone or in the rain so be prepared for a partnership in potty training. Because of the quick and unpredictable nature of young children her rescuers are asking for a home without children under 12 years of age.

Are you thinking about the ingredients in your dog's food? 🐾 Does your dog have sensitive stomach and or skin issues?

It's important to consider how hydrolyzed proteins, found in some prescription dog foods are manufactured. Hydrolyze proteins essentially are protein sources that are broken down into smaller particles for your pet to digest.

About 50% of the dogs or cats that are on these prescribed diet seem to do well. But they are not sustainable or designed to be a long-term diet for pets. They are interim solution as part of an elimination diet to rebalance the gut. There are other healthier less costly options to get the same result.

Back to Hydralic proteins…

These proteins go through a process of being broken down into smaller particles using products like sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, citric acid, and other synthetic antioxidants like BHA, BHT, and ethoxyquin. You will not find these ingredients and healthy raw dog food options.

While these diets are designed for dogs with sensitive stomachs and skin allergies, there is an alternative approach. …

Good information

It’s pumpkin season and there are so many ways to feed this fiber-rich superfood! 🎃🍂

After removing the seeds, steam or bake your pumpkin until the flesh is soft. Scoop out the flesh and freeze in ice cube trays to use all winter! (If you buy canned pumpkin to feed to your pets, make sure to only buy 100% pumpkin - preferably organic - NOT pie filling, which can cause GI problems).

You can also feed raw, unsalted seeds one at a time for perfectly sized, magnesium-rich training treats. Feed up to 1/4 tsp per 10 pounds of body weight, spread throughout the day.
