Morning Pupdate 🐾🌞 We have Bonnie, Checkers, Lillie, Loki, Kelly, Bailey, Rusty, Emory, Izzy, Darla, Henry, Wally, Milo, Auggy, Kota, Theo, Tucker, Xena, Charlie, Maverick, Hoss, Vladi, Ghost, Tank, Koda, Poppy, Hazelnut, and newcomers Angel and Buddy. 🐕🏡 Today will be fully booked. There's only 6 available spots left between now and 10:30am. ⏰️ Everyone is having a great time playing outdoors. 🌲🤩 They are so excited to be at daycare today. Morning Pupdate 🐾🌞 Happy Thanksgiving from Bark House Bed & Biscuit! 🌽🦃🌲🛶 This year we remain thankful 🙏 for you and all the support and encouragement 🥰 you give Bark House. We looked back at 2023's Thanksgiving and realized not only do we have the majority of the same dogs this year as last, we booked about 15 more dogs this year compared to 2023! 🎉 All of the dogs are having a great time. Both newcomers have settled in, making new friends, and the regulars are showing them how it's done. 🩷 It's a chilly morning ❄️ and the dogs have all decided to come back inside to play. 🥎 This wonderful Thanksgiving we are blessed and fully booked with Phoebe, Kona, Rammses, Duke, Dax, Duke, Goose, Daisy, Tucker, Gwen, Leo, Milo, Poppy, Midas, Jason, Nova, Togo, Dexter, Iris, Ivar, Angus, Dillie, Rosie, Abe, Thad, Mando, Jax, Xena, Chili, Willow, Ilya, Midas and Breck. 🐕🏡 (In video below are the dogs coming in from outside free roam)

Morning Pupdate 🐾🌞 It's gonna be another packed day! 🐶 We already have Ragnar, Pete, Nellie, Ace, Lillie, Nova, Jason, Duke, Rocky, JR, Blanche, Charlie, Maverick, Hoss, Luna, Gwen, Tucker, Lacey Lou, Jax, Dax, Dolly, Xena, Pearl, Poppy, Checkers, Sandy, Aspen, Auggy, Daisy, and newcomer Socks the cat. 🐕🏡🐈‍⬛️ Quite a bit more show up for both boarding and daycare. As a matter of fact I've been typing this update the past hour because we keep getting check ins before I post 🤣 The dogs are in an excited 🤩 mood today and ready to play. There's a substantial amount of large dogs checked in 🤣 Great Danes, Saint Bernards, Hounds, Standard Doodles, and more. Surprisingly the dogs have wanted to spend the morning indoors. That's fine by us because it is cold out there! ❄️ We also have a group of puppies in and they've been having a great time romping around. (In video below are Pearl and Checkers)

Bark House is currently seeking a reliable and trustworthy handyman 🛠 or contractor 🚧👷‍♂️ to manage and complete several urgent projects. Our previous handyman, who was exceptional, is now out of state, and we need the following tasks addressed promptly: - Complete tile installation in the upstairs entryway (most urgent) - Replace the bathroom door - Potential bathroom remodel (Two small side-by-side half baths that need combined into one larger full bath) - Replace the entryway door - Install kitchen and laundry area electrical outlets - Construct a pathway from the front of Bark House to the back gate. (2nd most urgent) - Install a few light fixtures And more small projects Additionally, we emphasize that we will not 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♂️ support businesses that exploit our commercially zoned status by inflating prices unnecessarily. We have had past experiences where local businesses quoted exorbitant prices, such as $15,000 for minimal fence work 🤯, which we eventually completed for $2,500 with satisfactory results. Likewise, simpler tasks have been over-quoted, like $4,000 to tighten a chain-link fence. 👀 Further, there have been incidents where service providers charge based on perceived project worth rather than actual material and labor costs, or demand industry-standard rates without the expertise. That's why we hired our previous handyman. He had honest pay for honest work. Now we're back in the same boat before we hired him! The holidays are here, we're booked, and we have uncompleted projects. Morning Pupdate 🐾🌧 We're having a small wet and muddy morning with Tripp, Daisy, Checkers, Nala, Loki, Dax, Ace, Dolly, Daisy, Jax, Charles, Luna, Vladi, Lillie, Kelly, and Bailey. 🐕🏡 The wind 🌬 is whipping the flag 🇺🇸 back and forth and sending leaves 🍂 floating in zig zags until they hit the ground. We spent what time we could outside between the rain ☔️ but most of our day has been spent indoors. A handful of dogs like being in the rain. It's just another pool party to them! 😆 We've got the Disney Playlist 🎶 going inside and the dogs acting like a bunch of goofballs playing to the songs. Morning Pupdate 🐾🌞 The Dobermans are dobering today. 🤣 We have Loki, Loki, and Clio just ripping up the yard with speed 🏁 We've never seen so many ✨️majestic✨️ hurdles over the playground equipment. Afternoon Pupdate 🐾 We had good day at Bark House with Nalla, Penny, Charles, Gidget, Serena, Charlie, Maverick, Hoss, Koda, Auggy, Loki, Clio, Checkers, Darla, Gabbana, Lillie, Roman, Coco, Walter, Stella, Kelly, Bailey, Poppy, Milo, Xena, Truman, Oliver, Theo, and his newcomer brother Tucker. 🐕🏡 We ran around and chased each other outside today and then continued the chase inside. The dogs played their favorite game, pawlley ball 🐾🏐 and asked for some pumpkin treats after. The rope swing toy was used quite a bit today, too. Morning Pupdate 🐾 Since posting that we're accepting new clients, we've had a handful of new dogs join us already. 🙏 Plenty more will join us by the end of the week. 🗓 Those spots filled fast! We've had people waiting months to get in. 😵‍💫🥴 There's still a few spots left for scheduled daycare dogs that want to join. With that being said, we are only two weeks away from Thanksgiving 🦃. We are eventually going to share an Amazon wish list with pantry items for Community Cafe 🥗🍛🍲. Last year Bark House provided a Thanksgiving meal and this year we plan on doing the same. 👍 If you'd like to pitch in, I'll share the link later on when the list is done. 😁 Along with this, we are going to do our Give Where You Live Campaign for United Way. 🤗 100% of daycare proceeds TOMORROW Thursday Nov 14th 🗓 will go to United Way. Last year we raised a couple hundred dollars on a Saturday. These funds go directly back into Pettis County families. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The money doesn't go to marketing, commercials, etc. It doesn't go to cover a pre-purchased donation by a large company. It goes directly to pay medical bills 🏨📝 and children's supplies 📚 to families local to us. It goes towards educational materials and gives families some ease and peace of mind. 🩷 Donating to United Way is just one group we are passionate about helping because we know our community is directly impacted by the funds raised. 💰 If you would like to just donate a monetary amount, donations can be sent to our venmo or handed in person. It takes a village 🛖🫶 And that village doesn't stop when we age up. Those needs don't just magically disappear when we get older. Our community will always need our help. They rely on us. Not Bark House, but US; People who look out for one another and want to see our community the best it can be. People who vie for a safe and healthy environment 🌳 for children 🚸, pets/animals 🐶😺, and ourselves

Morning Pupdate 🐾☀️ Bark House is back at it and we are open! 🎉 We're hitting the week strong with close to 20 dogs on our first day back. 😁🐕🏡 Please check your email for vaccination reminders. ☝️ Many dogs are coming due and we must keep that information updated. If your dog is not current on vaccinations, it cannot visit Bark House. 🙅‍♂️🙅‍♀️ Kaitlyn is diving deep into records all weekend so be prepared to see an email if your dog is coming due or past due. We also need to make sure all of your personal information is correct. ✅️ Be prepared to stop by the cabin to check your profile for correct addresses, emails, emergency contacts, and more. Emergency contacts should be TRUE emergency contacts, not the person traveling with you; it should be someone who will answer the phone and be in contact in case of an emergency. Not someone who is gone, out of town, has plans, etc. We need real emergency contacts who are able to make decisions for you if you cannot be reached. Take this seriously, please. 👍 ***RECORDS MUST BE EMAILED. DO NOT BRING RECORDS IN PERSON.*** Compass the adventure cat is doing really well. She's starting to come up to the house and lingers around the cabin now. 🐈‍⬛️ Her belly has grown so much. We initially thought she would be due around Thanksgiving 🦃 but noticed her belly was tight and had dropped yesterday. We bet she has her kittens soon. 👍 When a cat first starts showing a pregant belly 🤰, you can generally assume they are around 30 days along out of a 60+ day average pregnancy. She was showing when we found her, but she was also skin and bones. That made us push her estimated due date 🗓 further because, had she been healthy and fat, she probably wouldn't have been showing. We might have been wrong if we see kittens sooner than Thanksgiving! Nutrients are extremely important in prenatal care. Compass was pretty malnourished when she found us and is still working on it,

Afternoon Pupdate 🐾 Today we had Hank, Lola, Poppy, Billy, Buddy, Kota, Auggy, Tripp, Daisy, Emory, Darla, Charles, Milo, Ollie, Loki, Lillie, Kryllen, Krueggar, Marley, Greta, Vladi, Hazelnut, Sadie, Xena, Sasha, Charlie, Maverick, Hoss, Kelly, Bailey, Daisy, George, Koda, Milo, Malachi, and Walter. 🐕🏡 It was a windy day! We took down the Halloween decorations and banners to save them. They'll go up again tomorrow. Don't forget to stop by at 6:00-?:?? 👽🎃⏰️ Today we also had our inspection! 🔎 Unfortunately this time we did have a few violations. BOOOOO There goes our perfect streak! 👎 All Kaitlyn's fault 🤣 Since we operate more than 12 dogs per day, we are required to have what's called a conditioning care program. Our program isn't signed by our vet! And Kaitlyn works for her! 😅 So we need to get that signed and taken care of. The 2nd does have to do with records. Although we have records, we cannot access them quick enough. 🚨ALL RECORDS MUST BE EMAILED FROM THIS POINT FORWARD.🚨 Having all records in a single place is what needs to happen. We have them spread between texts, emails, Facebook messenger, and doggy dashboard. Our inspector is here to help us maintain the right path. She will be back to Bark House soon to see how we have improved our system! ✅️ Other than that, the kennels and dogs all passed. Everything else was good to go!
