🍬 Stash the sweets— chocolates and candies are frightfully toxic to pets!
🎉 Pawty time— with all the costumes and hubbub, our pets can get stressed! To distract from a frenzy of trick-or-treaters, or if you’re hosting guests, you can set your cat or dog up in a cozy corner away from the ghostly gatherings with their favorite toys to keep them relaxed.

Final Pupdate: October Walking Challenge Success! ✨

🎉 Our 31-day, 31-mile challenge to support Parkinson's disease research has (almost) come to a triumphant end!

Thanks to your boarding and pet-sitting choices, we've raised $55 during the month of October! A huge thank you to Ammo, Sadie, Nelly, Chloe, Atticus, and their wonderful owners for choosing Sit&Stay Services and contributing to this fantastic cause! 🐾❤️

🐾🐶 Sit&Stay Services: October Fundraiser Pupdate! 🚶‍♂️🐾

This October, we stepped up to the plate with our 31-day, 31-mile walking challenge fundraiser to support Parkinson's disease research.

We're thrilled to say that we've been keeping pace and bonding with our furry companions along the way. While there haven't been many photo ops (three dogs and one human make for a busy walk!), we're making strides every day, and our determination is as strong as ever! 💪🐕

In addition to our walking efforts, we're excited to announce that for every pet we look after this month, we're donating $5 towards this incredible cause.
Thanks to our wonderful clients, we've already raised $30! A huge shout out to Maverick, Emerald, Ruby, Fiona, Lily, Oliver, and their owners. 🐾❤️

We still have some spots available, so if your pup needs a cozy spot while you're out and about this season, or if you're planning a getaway, give us a call to secure your spot! 📞✨

Important Note: I'll be taking a break from November 21st to 30th for the holidays, but there's still room in early November and December for bookings. Feel free to message me with any questions or to set up a reservation!

🌟 Sit&Stay Services Fundraiser for Parkinson's 🌟

At Sit&Stay Services, we believe in giving back, and this October, we're stepping up for a cause! We're thrilled to announce our participation in a walking challenge fundraiser to support Parkinson's research and raise awareness!

🚶‍♀️ For the entire month of October, me and the adorable pups we care for will be walking 1 mile a day, totaling 31 miles! Every step we take will be dedicated to making a difference.

💖 To amplify our impact, this year we are committing to donate $5 for every pet we care for throughout the month October! Whether you’re scheduling pet sitting, boarding, or drop-in appointments, know that your support is making a significant contribution.

📅 If you’ve been contemplating a getaway before winter sets in, now is the perfect time!

Welcome to the first installment of Seeley Sit, Stay, and Stray!

EDIT: I have him and he is safe! I will be fostering him for Missoula County Animal Control while we do one final search for his owners. He has been given shots, and check for a microchip (no dice).

This sweet boy is still at large! Medium sized black dog with a little white on his chest, and a tiny bit of white on his back toes. He was first seen on Saturday, July 6th at the Placid Lake turn off on Highway 83. He has since been seen up and down Salmon Lake, and has been spending most of his time near the outlet of Salmon Lake. He's been seen mostly on the highway by Riverwatch Trail.

IF YOU SEE ME:
DO NOT approach or call out. Try and make yourself small (i.e. sit down, get low to the ground, submissive body language) and wait. If you have food or water, try and lure him in, but DO NOT try and grab him unless you're sure you'll be successful. This dog is already scared, confused and not eager to trust just anyone. We do not want to spook him out of the area! Please let us know if you see him and where!

When should you rescue puppies from the streets? ⠀

We are contacted by animal lovers who have rescued puppies off the streets and need our help in rehoming them. Many of them struggle to find these puppies forever homes and the puppies bounce around foster homes and end up in shelters or worse back on the streets. ⠀
⠀
So here goes the ONLY reason to rescues puppies off the streets is if they are unable to survive on their own without your intervention. This means that they will not survive alone on the streets due to some injury, illness or other health concerns. So please before picking up a puppy from the streets next time remember if you do they are your responsibility for the rest of their lives. The minute you pick up a puppy off the streets and take them into your home to care for them they do not have a chance to learn the skills they need to survive on the streets. This means that they will have to live with a family at all costs and can not be returned on the streets as they will be unable to fend for themselves.

If the puppy you have found is healthy please consider feeding them on the streets, moving them to a safe area away from the main road, get them vaccinated and sterilized at the appropriate age and keep an eye out on them to help them survive. You can also keep looking for homes for them through your friends and family on social media.

If you do find a puppy that is injured, unwell or unable to survive on the streets by themselves please contact your nearby animal rescue centre to help guide you on how you can help the puppy in need.⠀

Welcome new friends! Here are answers to some FAQs:

✨ Can I house-sit at your place or board them at mine? Absolutely! Your pets can stay with us in our cozy Seeley Lake home, complete with a fenced yard, or I can house-sit at your place, keeping everything running smoothly while you're away.

✨ What should you bring for boarding?
Just their food and any meds for the length of their stay! We have beds, bowls, toys, and treats to ensure pets are comfortable, however feel free to bring anything you think would help your pet relax and have fun!

✨ Additional services?
Yes, we offer basic grooming packages, drop-in visits, and walk packages for extra exercise!

Some of my favorite fall season, dog-safe foods!

🫛 Green Beans -

FULL of important vitamins and minerals, such as protein, iron, calcium, and vitamins B6, A, C, and K, green beans are a great snack for humans and pups alike!

🍠 Sweet Potatoes -

If your dog is struggling with constipation or diarrhea, some cooked sweet potato added to their food or as a treat can help regulate their bowel movements! This is because they're full of dietary fiber.

🍒 Cranberries -

Cranberries are PACKED with antioxidants, vitamins e, c and k, minerals, and dietary fiber – all of which can help support your pup's overall health. Just be sure not to give your dog too many, since they could get a stomach ache from too much acid in their diet.
