Dwayne Hurliman Hurliman Stockdogs allowed me to run Jan at the High Roller Shootout, the toughest Cowdog trial I’ve found. Jan was the best female of the week and the only one in the top 10. Jan is double bred Daybell Grace, with Daybell Walker and TH Moss on tops. Jan has a clear wisdom panel and is as tough of a female as I have ever found, on top of that she can compete on the weekends at the highest level I can find. Jan is a brood jip at Hurliman Stockdogs and he has multiple high caliber males he could breed her too. Thank you Dwayne for letting me reunite with Jan for a minute!

The first Angus pups are ready to go!  Angus is a great blend of the dogs in his pedigree, tough, a hard nose grip, huge open flanks, easy to train, and herding instinct. On the weekends, he and his sister Rum (HR Stockdogs) have made a splash in the trial world winning checks at nearly every event they’ve been to. This is what most of my clients want. A year and a half old dog with 4 months of formal training that will listen to you and HELP YOU. He doesn’t need to be a $20,000 dog. These steers came out of 2 different sale barns 10 days ago. If me and Ace can move them around this easy, so can you! Ace is a LR Tuco son owned by Michael Wingrove who has become a sharp dog handler himself. He has turned Ace into a handy dog to have on the truck!

We attended some great cowdog trials this week in Tennessee and Alabama. Young Roscoe got second out of the 23 dogs in his open class debut in a big field trial in Tennessee. We wanted first, but his uncle, LR Huck, said no sir not today. My partner, Brandon Pugh and I are proud of this line of dogs out of S***t. Huck, Roscoe and Angus where machines in Alabama and we won the 4 day average in both Open and Nursery, receiving 2 awesome Ruffland kennel's Crates.
