I’m excited to share our breed list for 2025 with you all! If you have any questions, reach out via message or contact me directly through my personal page—I’m always happy to help. Our flocks are small, so when I say “limited,” it means we have just 1-3 breeding hens for that specific breed. We’re still taking things slow as we gear up for spring and summer, with eggs coming in gradually. We are in the process of building new coops during this slow time on warm days. Can’t wait to share more of our birds with you soon!

Polish Party!

Our free-ranging flock is on lockdown for now due to some hawk activity. I have a feeling our Tolbunt Roo is loving the extra ladies around. I must say, when adding new birds to existing flocks, the Polish are the least of my worries when it comes to bullying. 💕

It is with heavy hearts that we share our time with Flynn has come to an end. His journey began with challenges, but he was well cared for. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, things just aren’t meant to be. Many times, we’re unable to give our animals a proper farewell due to predators, but for Flynn, we were able to lay him to rest. He was loved. He never crowed. 5/28/24-1/6/25

This is our first egg purchase of the year, and I’m so excited to give Candy Corn Polish another try! I was thrilled to find a breeder just a county over. We’ll have these little ones in about three weeks—can’t wait to see them!

As 2024 comes to a close, I’m filled with gratitude for the experiences it brought and for the amazing people I met who share my love for animals. Cheers to an incredible 2025 ahead, together!

It’s been so windy that a board on one of my breeding coops came off so my White Crested Polish found their way out. It was very easy to lead them back, they are so tame and friendly. The rooster is my favorite of all my Polish. He’s kind to us, amazing to his ladies.

Polish chickens are a breed you definitely shouldn’t miss. I’d love to have one of every color. Some of our Polish are truly one-of-a-kind. They’re wonderful, feathered companions—so much so, we often call them our “feathered dogs.” While they lay well during spring and summer, ours are on a break. We’re excited for the upcoming breeding season and what it will bring! 🐥❤️

🧡 Sicilian Buttercups 🧡

Sicilian Buttercups are an exceptional breed in many ways. Known for their curious nature, they love to explore and investigate their surroundings. These friendly birds often fly up to greet us when they know treats are involved. Their intelligence makes them excellent free-rangers, as they thrive in a more open environment. They lay around 200 white eggs per year.

Originating from the Mediterranean, this breed is considered threatened by the American Livestock Conservancy, making them a valuable addition to any flock looking to support heritage breeds.

We are happy to offer this breed in 2025. We love our Buttercups. ❤️

Caught these teenagers trying to ditch the coop tonight.

Flynn, our miracle chick, has grown into such a handsome bird at six months old—he’s hardly a chick anymore. While tending to the flock after work, I noticed him limping, and my heart sank. Chickens can be so fragile.

A closer look revealed it was bumblefoot, a common issue we face a few times a year. We gave Flynn a warm soak, and to my surprise, he loved it. He stayed calm the whole time, enjoying the water without giving me a bath in the process. Afterward, we applied some drawing salve.
