Why Choose Us?
At Feathered Valley Farm and Nursery, we’re turning our passion and hobby into a small business with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Here’s what you can expect from us:
• Fairness and Respect: Whether you’re new to raising animals or an experienced enthusiast, we are here to answer your questions.
• Transparency: We proudly share photos of our breeding pens and adult birds. This ensures you know the quality of the chicks or eggs you’re purchasing, as offspring often resemble their parent stock.
• Customer Appreciation: Each customer matters to us, and we offer special thank-you perks for our loyal, repeat customers.

We believe transparency and trust should set the standard in this industry, and we hope to inspire others to follow suit.

Chicks are on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re interested, please contact us when you’re ready to meet for pickup. For our repeat customers, we’re happy to hold chicks as long as pickup arrangements are made. Thank you for your understanding!

Our Bird Policy:
• Health Guarantee: We take daily preventative measures to ensure our birds are happy and healthy while in our care. Once they leave, we cannot guarantee survival due to factors beyond our control.
• Refunds: We do not offer refunds, but if a physical deformity is missed, we will gladly provide a refund with proof (photo or video).
• Chicks: To account for their delicate nature, we include two extra chicks of the same breed with your purchase when available. If extras aren’t an option, you can select from what we have on hand. Of course, this is optional, as some customers have specific flock size limits.

Hatching Eggs Policy:
Hatch rates depend on factors beyond our control after eggs leave our care. While we may have a 100% hatch rate here, results can vary due to handling, shipping, or incubation conditions.

A Note on Quarantine:
To protect the health of your existing flock, we highly recommend quarantining any new birds for up to six weeks. This precaution ensures the safety of both your new additions and your existing flock, minimizing health risks.

We take pride in the work we do and the connections we build with our customers. We are continually learning, improving, and growing, and we’re thrilled to share our journey with you. Stay tuned for exciting updates and offerings as we prepare for an incredible 2025 season!

We have chicks!

Sevierville/Wears Valley

Easter Egger x Ayam Cemani: This distinctive cross creates Fibro Easter Eggers, admired for their striking black skin and potential for eye-catching feather patterns. These birds lay beautiful blue or olive eggs, offering both unique beauty and utility. Chance of frizzle!

All chicks are straight run. A few pure Ayam mixed in with the Fibro. Willing to meeting within an hour of our farm. Ask us anything!

Hello, December!

Hatch day has arrived, and we’re thrilled to welcome some new little ones into the world. So far, we’ve hatched a couple of Easter Eggers, Fibro Easter Eggers, and Ayam Cemani. Most Easter Eggers and Fibro Easter Eggers have a chance of being frizzle!

Our hens, however, seem to have called it quits for the season. Over the past week, they’ve only given us about a dozen eggs—not nearly enough to refill the incubator. But for now, we’re savoring the excitement of these new arrivals!

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us!

We have so much to be thankful for this year, especially for the connections we’ve made with so many of you. It’s been wonderful to share this journey and bond over a shared love for our feathered friends.

Speaking of gratitude, if you don’t already have a turkey, you’re missing out! My daughter made our Royal Palm turkey, John.

Happy National Take a Hike Day!

This is the stunning Spruce Flats Falls, nestled here in the Great Smoky Mountains. We hiked this trail back in March, and it was absolutely beautiful. The peaceful falls and scenic trail make it a must-see spot for nature lovers.

What’s your favorite trail in the Smokies? I’d love to hear about the ones you enjoy most!

John, our Royal Palm turkey, has chosen to roost with our Sicilian Buttercup pair and Silver Appenzeller rooster.

Our next hatch date for chicks is set for December 1, and we’re excited to kick off the last month of the year with new arrivals. Our Polish hens have mostly stopped laying for the season. After a couple of weeks away, we’re getting back into the swing of things and looking forward to sharing more about our birds!

So happy our Vorwerk ladies have found a new home—they’re on their way to McMinnville! With that, our Vorwerk chapter comes to a close. They are an incredible rare breed, but unfortunately not the best layers. Interestingly, while many people think Polish chickens are poor layers, ours actually outperformed the Vorwerks!

Our Royal Palm turkey now has a name—John. 💙

Unfortunately, we found our Blue Slate turkey with a neck injury in the coop, and she passed away shortly after. We plan to search for turkey eggs in the spring.

Look at this 6-week transformation!

Just six weeks ago, we introduced this young roo to a breeding pen. At the time, he wasn’t crowing and was getting chased around by a few hens. Now, he’s confidently crowing, fulfilling his rooster duties, and looking better than ever! So excited for the Fibro project!
