o it's been a few weeks since I first got Samson. And it's been an interesting journey so far. Great pup overall, just a few things that I'm trying to work on. He likes to bite a lot. Not sure how normal that is for his age (14-15) weeks. And whenever I'm not walking with him, if I'm just siting on the porch outside with him he just seems to get a little agitated and starts to want to nibble on my hand. And when I say no, of pull away he does a light bark/cry. Just wanted to hear someone's feedback that is more experienced with this breed. Thanks

Loving the new signs my mom and I just got 🩵😂🐶🐾🦴
However, we never quite know what we’re getting with this moody lil pup. We got the signs originally because even with the gate closed, I thought I was about to witness the Amazon drivers last moments… But, shortly after that debacle, she greeted our pool guy with kisses. If you’re in her good graces, good. If not, count ya days 😂👀

Dam & Sire were genetically tested & found clear of ALL known breed-relevant hereditary issues.
Dam is 100% Great Pyrenees out of Working LGDs from a Reno, NV ranch with significant predator load.
Sire is 75% Anatolian Shepherd/Kangal 12.5% Great Pyrenees 12.5% German Shepherd.
Sire’s AKC Anatolian dam (100%) and 50% Kangal 25% Pyr 25% German Shepherd sire are Working LGDs out of Valley Springs, CA.
By 3 mos of age our LGDs displayed incredible instincts with livestock & were Full Time LGDs by 6 mos of age (Dam is 6yrs, Sire is 2.5yrs). They’re vital to keeping our farm, family & various livestock safe from coyote, Golden Eagle/Hawks, the occasional bobcat, mountain lion &/or even uninvited humans. They’re always on guard, but they’re also well-mannered, easy going & even goofy with us.
Our LGDs do NOT have any aggression, resource guarding or 4-foot fence-respect issues.
The pups are already exhibiting future LGD traits. They’re very relaxed with goats, our other non-related dogs & children. We’re working on their leash training & introductions to chicken, ducks & emu.
Qualified lifetime employment is important, so please:
Be a homeowner or have permission from your landlord for an XX-LARGE dog.
Currently have some type of livestock (chicken, goat, rabbits, etc) for the pup to bond/train with.
Have a secure area for your pup, separate from livestock, for when you cannot supervise.
Have time to spend daily with the pup on-leash for training/bonding with livestock.
Don’t get a puppy if you need an adult dog for predators RIGHT NOW.

In order to preserve the rare genuine Sivas Kangal Dog, we will not be offering stud services and will only be offering breeding rights for puppies and full ownership after 2 year full health testing, analysis, breeding approval of pairing and a puppy of our choice returned from their first litter.
*This does not apply to puppies purchased without breeding rights, but there will be a spay/neuter contract required.
Responsible breeding comes with high standards and costs.

This male puppy stood out to us from the very start. His head and overall conformation makes us grateful for the genetics we have to expand upon.
He now is a happy family companion, learning tricks from many of his young humans, and greeter for their church ministry.
