Just what the doctor ordered. PLR race shoes with 2 degree no vibe full pad with Glu shu shufill cushion to give her a softer landing. Very happy with the results. Happy horse = Happy client.

Had to make a house call this morning. Our severly foundered friend Bear was not doing good. To the point of not wanting to move. A little heal removal and a 3 degree aluminum wedge turned around backwards seemed to help with his hoof angles and ease of break over.

Doug's Bio:

Doug Henry is the owner of Doug Henry Horse Shoeing. Although he resides in Volusia County, he travels for his farrier business throughout Florida. Doug is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Doug’s business, life, and family can be summarized by the following verse, “The righteous care for the needs of their animals” (Proverbs 12:10). Doug is an accredited professional farrier who has been in business since 2011. He is a member of the American Association of Professional Farriers. Doug has extensive experience in the horse industry both personally and professionally. Doug knows firsthand the critical role of the farrier in horses’ performance as he and his family have owned their own performance horses that were instrumental in their daily lives as cattlemen and rodeo contestants. Doug has worked as a veterinarian technician for Ocala Equine Hospital where he worked directly with one of the owners and leading veterinarians in the industry. Doug is passionate about the horse industry and the farrier profession as he has been instrumental in encouraging and supporting his son, Chandon to pursue a career as a farrier and his daughter, Kaylin, to attend veterinary school at Auburn University. Doug is devoted to the profession, his clients, and the horses that he works on.

Everyone meet Bear! Bear was suffering from some lameness issues for some time before being referred to us at Doug Henry Horseshoeing. After a short while we are proud to say Bear is no longer having problems and his owner has been able to ride him and enjoy him. Thank you Linda for giving us the opportunity to do some corrective shoeing and getting you back in the saddle. Nothing better than a happy horse and owner!
