From Cheyenne's run today. From our house to the boat ramp & back. Off leash, with a training collar.
1st video- on the beach/lake bottom. She's never really been taught to walk on or off leash before now. But she does it naturally. She wont go far from me. A dog is up in its yard barking at her. Towards the end I remind her to leave it.
2video- running from the boat ramp. The dog ran to his front yard to meet us. I again remind her to leave it & when she begins paying a little too much attention to him, I reinforce that leave it with a beep(only beep, no vibration or shock). She continues on but then sees a squirrel dart across the road and she goes after it. I verbally correct, then beep & finally vibrate when she goes off the road into the campground and it runs up a pole. She came right back & we continued on. I didn't even have to fully stop.
3rd video- she ran full out up the big hill then slowed as soon as I started videoing.
She still needs work on impulse control, but she's doing great to have no training for the past 3+ years, and limited training her first year.

Cheyenne spotted a goose with an injury or something, it seemed to be limping and didn't fly off like the rest. It was walking toward the water.
She started fixating on it and I stopped her with a beep(only) on the training collar. She returns to me as soon as I snap her out of hunting mode with the beep.

Cheyenne in the lake bottom at our neighborhood boat ramp and then sitting out by the fire last night burning brush before the rain came in.

Cheyenne goes for a jog down to the boat ramp every day. I can't go fast enough to mentally & physically exercise her well enough on foot, so I take the golf cart.
We did about 3-4 weeks on a leash. Now, she's progressed to off-leash with a training collar. All I've had to do is use the beep button a few times to remind her to "leave it" (not stalk/chase a squirrel or goose).

Yesterday Cheyenne moved in with me (from my son & Granddaughter's house). She's used to having free rein of the farm so we have to be creative in finding ways to keep her in shape & occupied. She loves running by the golf cart on our dead end street. Chy can actually run faster than the golf cart can go! Before these videos, she already ran from our house to the lake at the other end of the street, explored the shoreline and started back. Other videos in comments. I'll try to get a video of her running fast another day.
