This horse did not belong to me, she was put in my name for an ex boyfriend (I learned my lesson on that, will never do that again).
He never took the responsibility to put the horse in his name when we split.

What should you look for in horses for youth/beginner riders?

When starting with a youth or inexperienced rider I like to pair them with an older, experienced horse. These "teachers" will teach a young riders the ropes of the pattern giving them confidence in the saddle. I always say that the age of the rider and horse should always equal at least 21. For example if the rider is six years old then the horse should be 15.
