Patient Safety is Always a Main Priority and with surgery comes all types of risks! In order to be as prepared as possible, the medical team at SNIP attended a RECOVER CPR course this past weekend, hosted by Charlotte Animal Referral and Emergency Clinic. The team learned valuable information to help us be confident and more prepared for when the unexpected occurs. We want all of you to feel confident that your animals are being cared for by the best medical team, that knows the current recommendations!!

We are frequently asked what the difference is between ferals and roaming cats! Since ferals are frequently ownerless, we do offer a Feral Cat Package for $50* for those generous enough to trap-neuter-release. For the safety of staff and our patient, these cats MUST be brought to our clinic in a feral trap. An ear tip and a Rabies vaccine is required at the time of surgery and is included in the cost.

*There may be an additional fee if cat is in heat or pregnant.

❗️We need your help❗️Kitten season is coming and it can wreak havoc in shelters and communities. During this time, it’s common for kittens and mothers to flood shelters causing issues with kennel space. A community cat may have kittens under your porch, or maybe your indoor cat escaped a month ago and is now looking more plump! The best prevention is spaying and neutering before the breeding season starts. Together, we can make a difference! 🐾

We are grateful for the continued trust you have placed in us to care for your animals. Recently, we were approached by two rescue organizations requiring spay/neuter services for their animals, which we gladly agreed to provide. However, both organizations could only transport their animals on the same day, resulting in 53 procedures in one day. Although Dr. Hilderbran has participated in numerous high-volume spay/neuter events, those were typically staffed by multiple doctors and support personnel. Undaunted, she and our staff accepted the challenge to ensure these animals received necessary care. We enlisted additional volunteers and successfully completed all procedures before 5 pm. We are extremely proud of our staff's hard work and dedication, not only on this day but every day, as they strive to make a positive impact in our community and beyond! We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success on that day!!!
