DogTown is for the time being permanently closed. I will notify clients where I will be heading once I have found a new location or shop to groom at. Thank you all for the wonderful memories and chance to love and dote upon all your fur babies.

For those whom would like to know ultimately my closure was due to ongoing health issues. However, mostly it was an in ability to reach an agreement with my current landlord over inflated utility costs through out my renting but more specificity during my previous 3 month closure in which my utilities went up over $300 despite not being open. Essentially I have been forced to close my doors and am very saddened and that is why this announcement is late. Take care everyone. Much love to you all

Hello everyone. We have been exposed to covid once again and have been asked to close for 2 weeks, again. We are SO SORRY for the inconvenience. We understand the frustrations and appreciate everyones patience and kindess during these hard times. With that being said once we are opened back up we will be asking for everyone to follow state covid guidelines, respect people social distancing, and wear a face mask if not vaccinated. Thank you and once again we are very sorry.

Hello everyone! Just here to say we sincerely apologize for the closure and lack of communication.
We took some time to focus on family, and for some medical reasons. Due to a delay in medical diagnosis we are not announcing the specific medical concerns. We appreciate your thoughts and kind words as well as your patience. We thank you for being a costumer, and do understand if you had to find a new groomer. However if you would like to continue being a client with us we are opening full hours for both baths and haircuts. Most appointments are booked throughout the year but we will be reaching out to try and catch up from our closure.
Once again from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU and we are excited to be back.

Hello,
Has many know we have been unable to keep up with the high demand and volume of calls/emails and texts that come in daily and this has become frustrating for both you our client and us.

Please note I am looking for a receptionist to fix this issue and once that is done we will be back up and running with our communication and customer service. The same service you have come to know and expect.

If you have talked to someone previously and it was not a pleasant experience I do apologize as customer service is very important and I expect my staff to conduct them selves the same way. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. If this is your experience please let me know via email so that I may take care of it.

DogTown is looking for a part time receptionist. Will pay salary w/ benefits or hourly which ever is preferred.

Position is mostly remote.

Flexible schedule
Follow directions
Have integrity
Work efficiently

DogTown in Shelton WA is looking for a reliable, experienced dog and cat groomer with a good work ethic. We are a small, fairly new salon looking to add a team member to meet with the growing demand for our services. This is part time with the possibility of full time. We offer competitive W-2 wages DOE, work shirts, snacks, drinks and a private break room, as well as an allowance for work attire/equipment. We are a low stress salon with higher prices and lower volume. We are a daycare environment and provide you with bathers, an assistant and receptionist.

Our ideal candidate should have/be

one year professional grooming experience

Must understand dog/cat behavior and be able to adjust in order to ensure the comfort and safety of the pet and yourself

We supply all tools and equipment as well as a budget.

Excellent communication skill both verbal and written, must be able to offer suggestions to clients that are not sure what they want.

Must be able to use technology as most of our records are electronic.

Must be a team player with attention to detail.

We are open M-F 7:30am to 6:00pm and every third Saturday and Sunday from 6:30am - 8:00pm, and closed every third Monday and Tuesday of the month.

We require a UA. We are only checking for all illegal drugs in WA state and a background check is required.

Greetings,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my mother this morning Thursday March 11th. Thus, DogTown will be closed until Monday March 22nd in preparation for her burial and wake. We realize that having to reschedule such a large amount of clients will be disruptive to their normal schedule and due to her illness that we have had to reschedule many others already. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate all your patients during this time.

Hello Everyone,

Dogtown and it’s staff appreciate and want to thank each and everyone of you for your loyalty and continued support, with out you we could not do what we love.

We will be closed until Tuesday December 2nd and will return emails, voicemails, texts and confirm online requests then.

We have had issues with our phone line for most of November due to the neighboring construction and moving of power poles, we are hoping that the issues have been resolved. With that if you have called and left a voicemail and no one has returned it within two business days, please try again. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Finally, just some reminders.

Please wear a mask when entering the store.

If you see more than two clients already in the lobby please wait and we will let you in shortly.

Your pet must be on a leash to enter the store and remain next to you while waiting.
Stand on the purple paw prints on the floor to maintain social distancing.

We are no longer able to accommodate walk-in nail trims. Please call ahead or book your appointment online at Dogtown360.com.

Be advised that out times are taking longer due to strict cleaning protocols. Each time we disinfect an area it must sit on that surface for a minimum of 10 minutes to be effective that means between each station, drying, table, pen and tub your pet waits 10 minutes to ensure it is properly disinfected. This adds time to the groom/day and thus requires your pet to be in our care longer.

We are not letting dogs socialize at this time until after they have been washed. We are keeping play groups smaller as well. This means that dogs that have not been in kennels or pens in the shop are now having to be in them. This can be a hard transition for some dogs but necessary to ensure the health of all our clients. This means that the shop will be louder with dogs barking because they cannot play to get their energy out when they first arrive. We groom a lot of puppies and elderly dogs that do not have experience in kennels or pens. We apologize for the inconvenience and noise. We can’t wait to get back to our normal. For now we do offer one on one appointments for dogs with extra special needs, or that can not be in a kennel for any amount of time on Friday mornings.

Please take your dogs leash and collar with you. If you leave it, we are required to wash it and do charge for this service.

Please let us know if you will not be able to pick up your pet within 30 minutes of their estimated completion time at the time of booking or at drop off. This is so we can be sure we have the kennel space and staff available to ensure the safety of your pet. Dogs left longer than 30 minutes after being finished with out previous arrangements will be assessed a daycare fee.

We understand these policies are new and we truly do appreciate all your patience and continued support during this time as we navigate through COVID together.
