Rabbitry Dispersal
This post will be added to/taken away from as rabbits leave or I get photos of others.

First up, we have our cals and satins! I still have a few I'm needing photos of, but here is a good portion of what I have.

All animals have transport to any show held in Canton Ohio, but can also be picked up in Sherrodsville Ohio or surrounding areas.

I'm in love with this little dude! Compared to my other tans, he has intense front and hind extension. Since his father has won a BIS in his glory days, and he seems to be an improvement on him, I have extremely high hopes for this guy!

I lied, that was not my final post!
This one will likely be the last until I disappear into the abyss of my animals once more.

Darky Hollow Rabbitry & Caviary has expanded greatly in the past few months and I would like to say thank you to all who have helped me. Especially Jim Plummer, Cheri Schubert, Khloe Brown, and last but not least, Hannah Foster.

Here are some pictures of some recent additions, pregnancies (both the brit and cavy are due this week), and a cat photobomb or two.

I competed in the youth competitions at the OSRBA mini convention, and was 1st in Senior Breed ID and 2nd in Senior Judging.

I am incredibly happy with my results, and so thankful to all of those who have helped me get to where I am. And congratulations to all who competed!

Developmental Photos, NFS!
These three are my current silkie babies. Currently 8 days old, but pictured at only a few hours old.

Wincraft's ___ (GS/R/W boar) x Pastry (GS/W sow)

All three babies are technically tsw! Coconut has a small patch of red hairs by one of his ears, which technically makes him unshowable. He will likely be looking for a pet home in the near future.

Maya is my favorite distribution wise, but has a lot of intermixing on her. As she grows, her body keeps improving. She will potentially be seeking a home in the future, depending on how her coat comes in.

Eden is my favorite body and patching wise, though she lacks the distribution of her sister. She is my confirmed keeper at this time. And no, she does not have a rosette! I accidentally pushed her hair to the side while posing her.

Today was Darky Hollow Caviary's first show as an exhibitor! Congratulations to Jaykob Henry on his BIS wins today!

In both shows, Godek Farm's BeReal (black american int sow) took Best of Breed!

We also brought home the beginning of a new program. Welcoming Jordan Hollow's Nala, a red cal peruvian sow!

Looking forward to next weekend, where we will show at Piketon. Thank you to all of those who have helped us to get started in our programs. This would not be possible without you!

This gal has improved so much in a week. By no means is she perfect, but for my first angora litter, she's a good start. Her loin, shoulders, and hindquarters are so much better than her dam's will likely ever be. I'm very excited for this program!

The Stark and Summit County rabbit shows this weekend have been a blast.

Darky Hollow's Kitten (lilac tan jr doe) came home with a few variety wins as her first time on the table.

Whitetail's Rush earned a BOB and BOSB on Saturday (which I didn't get pictures of, unfortunately). Huge thank you to Hannah Guss for my new children as I take on the market rabbit project for my fair!

Darky Hollow's Roze (lilac English spot sr doe) took BOV all weekend and ending with a BOB show B on Sunday under Bill Bramble. This is her second leg!

And I obviously brought lots back home. This includes 4 satins and 6 californians from Whitetail Mountain Farms, 1 californian from Shayd Farms, and 2 american cavies!

These two siblings will be attending the Canton show on Saturday!
First is a doe, second is a buck. Both need smaller ears but I love their fur, color, and they feel like bricks. Just need more space and don't need super close relatives!

The fact that nobody claimed this buck amazes me.
I'll definitely be using him for myself until he's outproduced himself or somebody needs him more than I do. 💙

Convention was an absolute blast!
We went down with six rabbits and came back with eight, 7 of them being new.

No notable placings of rabbits that we took, though I did place well in youth contests. I took 5th place senior breed ID with 149 competitors! It was a great experience that I hope to do again.

As the end of the year nears, we will be breeding most, if not all, of our does, and will eventually have several rabbits looking to hop.

Here is a mini rex doe I am excited about. She has lovely fur and type, just needing some help with her shoulders and needs to grow into her ears.

The more this guy ages, the more I want to keep him. Yet he's still on my convention list!
This guy is crazy fun to interact with. He loves to run and binkies around constantly. Like most spots, this guy is not cuddly, but he would kill for head scratches.

If nobody claims this guy before 10/1, he's sticking around to be a herd buck for me! I have absolutely no shame in buck hoarding and I think this guy has some traits that could help any herd.

I promised myself this guy would be on the top row (the equivalent of my bottom cage because I'm short and can't see) and wait for up there for his new home...
I lied to myself and now I won't be mad if he stays. This guy had a glowup and it's making me more miserable than ever.
