Ariya is a 1.5 year old German Shepherd who arrived at Yolo County Animal Services as a stray in January. Everyone thought with her good looks, playful and easy temperament, and high intelligence, she would be snapped up quickly, but she's had almost no interest!

Ariya is fantastic with everyone she meets - human or canine. She is friendly and submissive with other dogs. She knows sit, shake, and down, and is very food motivated, so could easily learn a lot more.

Young and playful, Ariya hopes she can find a family that will keep her entertained. In thanks, she will be the best girl and give lots of cuddles.

Ariya is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and flea control. Her adoption fee is $50 and she is available at Yolo County Animal Services in Woodland. Harley update! This brave girl recently attended our Claws for Paws event with her amazing fosters—and she crushed it! From a shy pup rescued from a hoarding situation to confidently navigating crowds and soaking up the love, Harley continues to show us just how far she’s come.

She’s about 4–5 years old, adores people, and is so ready for a home to call her own. Harley prefers to be the only dog in your life—and she promises to fill your heart all by herself.

Flynn has been patiently waiting for his forever home, and he’s ready to meet his perfect match! This happy, exuberant boy always wears a grin because he loves people. At 1-2 years old and around 80 lbs, Flynn is a handsome GSD/Pitbull/Husky mix with a stunning red sable coat. He’s playful, loving, and super smart—already potty trained and knows sit, down, place, and wait. He’s working hard on his manners and loose leash walking, plus he’s great in the car and always up for an adventure! Flynn gets along well with other dogs and is eager to find a family to love.

Hi! I'm Archer. I'm a 3-4 month old German Shepherd mix looking for my forever home. I was adopted by a great couple from a shelter but they realized I was just too much dog for them. In my first home I lived with cats. But now, I'm in a foster home awaiting my forever home. I live with 2 other German Shepherds and get along with any of the dogs I have met so far, large and small.. I was even introduced to a pig. So far I have also been great with the children I've met. I know Sit, Down, and I wait at thresholds. I am crate trained and I sleep through the night.

I can walk nicely on a loose leash, I ride well in the car and I am very treat motivated so I'm really easy to train. My forever home needs to be an active person or family with GSD or working dog experience and puppy experience or someone commited to working with a trainer to help me be the best I can be. If you are looking for an amazing pup with all kinds of potential ...it's me! I'm still a pup so I really need someone commited to putting in the time and energy I need to grow into the best dog ever.

Hello, I’m Boss, a very handsome 2-3 year old, 85lb. German Shepherd Dog with a heart as big as my paws. My journey began on a quiet back road in the North Coast vineyards, where I was left alone and scared. People noticed me and were concerned, so they worked hard to trap me for my safety because I was so frightened. At first, I didn’t know who to trust, but when I met a kind lady who cared for me, I showed her my true self. I am a loving, caring guy with tons of potential. I love people and have gotten along with all the dogs I have met so far. I love to play fetch and will bring the ball back. I love the water and to explore. I am crate trained and working on being house trained. For now I am working on obedience, but I'm such a quick learner it won't take long.

As a dog, it’s my purpose to be loyal, to love unconditionally, and to always be there for my person. I’m looking for a forever home where I can fulfill that purpose. I really love my person and want to be with them so a family where someone works from home or another dog around for me to hang with would be nice. Secure fencing is a must as I can find ways to get to you if the gate is left open. I promise to be your best friend forever. I’ll be by your side through thick and thin, keeping you company and making sure you never feel alone. Hey there, I’m Autumn! 🍂 I’m 2-3 years old, 50lbs, and ready to start a brand-new chapter. My life started as a stray, then I ended up at the shelter, but I got out just in time! Now, I’m making up for lost time with walks, water play, and lots of love.

I love my people and bond quickly, but I’d also really love a dog brother! I’ve been working on my social skills and do best with calm, neutral males. With the right introductions, I know I can make more dog friends too—good things take time!

I’m active, smart, and always ready for an adventure. I love to run, play with wubbas, and splash in the water. Training is new to me, but I’m a fast learner—I know Sit, Down, Place, and walk well on a loose leash. Plus, I’m crate trained!

My name is Bailey, and I have no clue why I ended up at the shelter. Seriously, I’m awesome. I love people, fetch, water, and playing with other dogs. I learn super fast (when I feel like it), and I’m working on my basic commands—though I might try to negotiate terms.

Meet Booker! This sweet and gentle boy is around 4-5 years old. Found as a stray, he spent a few months in the shelter before a wonderful rescue gave him a second chance. Shelter life wasn’t his favorite (but really, whose is?), and now he’s settling into his foster home beautifully. Booker is house-trained, crate-trained, and working on his loose-leash walking. He’s been friendly with every person and dog he’s met so far and absolutely loves playing with toys. Stay tuned for more updates as he continues to settle in!
