We want to share an important update about the puppies we posted needing fosters. The story we were originally told was not the complete truth but we are working closely with animal control to assist the 3 remaining puppies and will provide updates as soon as we have more information. Our timeline is not clear, but we will reach out when we know more.

We truly appreciate everyone who reached out offering to foster or adopt. For those of you who submitted foster applications, our team will be following up to see if you’d like to complete the process. Having approved fosters ready is what allows us to step in quickly when emergency litters like this arise.

Hi there! My name is Flynn, and if you’ve met me, you already know I come with a permanent smile. At just 1 ½ years old and 79 pounds of German Shepherd/Husky mix, I’m the total package — playful, affectionate, and oh-so-handsome in my striking red sable coat and golden eagle eyes.

Here’s what makes me a catch:
🎾 I live for playtime, walks, and adventures — as long as I’m with you.
💛 Belly rubs? Absolute heaven.
🦴 My buffalo horn is my favorite chew toy.
🍖 I’m super treat-motivated, which makes training fun and easy.

I already know Sit, Down, Place, and Wait (so no dashing out the door for me!), and I’m working hard on perfecting my manners and loose-leash walking. With a little more practice, I’ll be the ultimate gentleman.

I’m Freya, a 2–3 year old, 60 lb. German Shepherd with a story that tugs at the heartstrings. Not long ago, my world was turned upside down when my owner passed away unexpectedly. With a belly full of puppies depending on me, I needed a safe place to land. Thanks to the rescue, all of my precious pups have found their forever families… and now it’s finally my turn.

After weeks of being the best mama I could be, I’m learning how to just be me again. I’m discovering that walks with other dogs can be fun, that playing ball makes my tail wag, and that obedience training is helping me shine. What I want most in the world is simple: a person of my own. Someone patient, loving, and ready to see the loyal companion I’m becoming.

Here’s what I can offer:

Hi friends! My name is Belle, and I’m a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix with a whole lot of love (and energy!) to give. I’m a silly, spunky girl who was bought from a breeder and later surrendered to the shelter when my first family realized I was “too much puppy.” Truth is, I just needed what every young shepherd needs — patience, training, and consistency.

Here’s the scoop on me:
✅ I know Sit, Down, Place, and I’m learning to walk politely on a leash.
🚗 I LOVE car rides and will happily be your co-pilot.
🐾 I’m crate trained, potty trained, and obsessed with splashing in the water.
🐶 I’ve been around other dogs and just need a little practice with my greetings — my trainer says I’m basically a goofy 5-month-old puppy living in a big girl’s body.

I can be a little mouthy when I’m excited (hey, I’m still learning!),

Rexy is a beautiful German Shepherd who has waiting since LAST OCTOBER to find a forever home. Despite being so friendly and affectionate with people, it seems that her need to be an only pet is working against her. She just wants to be the spoiled only fur baby in the house hold — is that too much to ask? 🥹

She's an older girl (around 7 years old) and has hip dysplasia (common for her breed) but is otherwise a bright and cheerful girl who enjoys playtime and leisurely walks. She is also potty trained and doesn’t appear to have separation anxiety.

We cannot pull them into rescue without committed, legitimate fosters. Sam is a 2-year-old Malinois Shepherd mix who has shown many wonderful qualities both in the shelter and out on dog day outs. Volunteers report she walks well on leash, enjoys tennis balls, settles for naps, and did beautifully in a home setting — even around a child. She has also grown more comfortable with staff over time, now approaching willingly to be leashed and seeking attention from people she trusts.
While she can be jumpy or mouthy when excited, Sam is highly responsive to engagement and is steadily learning better manners. She has done well in dog-to-dog introductions when properly managed, showing interest in play or coexisting peacefully. In the kennel, she can sometimes become vocal or stressed, so a stable home environment would help her flourish.
Sam is a smart, affectionate dog who simply needs an outlet for her energy and consistency to help her shine. With the right placement, she has all the makings of a wonderful companion.

🚨 Calling all adventurers, runners, and dog sport enthusiasts! 🚨 Meet Bowie, a 10-month-old German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix who’s ready to take on the world with you. 🐾 This sweet, high-energy pup didn’t get the structure and training he needed early on, which landed him in the shelter. But here at the rescue, Bowie is thriving and showing just how much potential he has!

Bowie would make an amazing agility or rally partner, or your go-to running and hiking buddy. He’s friendly with other dogs but can be a little too enthusiastic when meeting them, so we’re helping him practice calmer introductions.

Luke is a 6-month-old, 50lb German Shepherd/Husky mix who has been thriving in his foster home. Unfortunately, due to unexpected life changes, his amazing foster is no longer able to keep him — through no fault of his own.
Luke is a sweet, mellow boy who loves to play ball, splash in the water, and cuddle up for naps. He’s crate and house trained, knows basic commands, and gets along great with other dogs and even cats. We’re looking for a new foster (or even better, an adopter!) to give Luke the safe, loving home he deserves.
