We need kind, reliable people to help us care for our dogs through walking, training, cleaning, and daily enrichment. Right now, our ability to give each dog the time and care they deserve depends on volunteers stepping up. With more help, we can give longer walks, cleaner spaces, and a better quality of life for every dog in our care.

I’m a 2-year-old, 80 lb German Shepherd/Husky mix with a big grin and an even bigger love for people. I’ve been waiting for my forever home and I’m really hoping someone sees me. I love walks, adventures, belly rubs, and chewing my buffalo horn as long as I get to be by your side. I know sit, down, place, and wait, I’m potty trained, and I’m working hard on my manners and loose-leash walking. I’m treat-motivated, eager to learn, and just looking for a family to call my own

Meet Belle
Belle is a one-year-old, rambunctious gal with a big personality and lots of potential. She came to rescue because she was “too much puppy,” but what she really needed was patience, training, and consistency.

Belle loves people, is crate trained, enjoys car rides, and even loves the water. She knows sit, down, and place, and is working on loose-leash walking and staying calm around people and other dogs. Our trainer says she’s like a five-month-old puppy in an adult GSD body—all enthusiasm and heart.

Home for the Holidays Campaign 🎄🐾
We’re excited to kick off our Home for the Holidays campaign in partnership with Best Friends Animal Society. Our goal is simple: get our dogs into loving foster homes—or even better, their forever homes—before the holidays.

First up, meet Rip
Rip is a young, spunky pup full of life and personality. He loves people and does well with other dogs, making him a great fit for a home with an existing pack. He’s smart, eager, and ready to thrive with a little structure, clear boundaries, and guidance as he continues to grow. With the right home, Rip is going to be an incredible companion.

RESCUED — FOSTER NEEDED — Mama & 7 GSD Puppies! 🚨
We’re looking for a special foster willing to take in a sweet German Shepherd mom and her seven precious 3-week-old pups. They’re currently at the El Dorado County Shelter and need out ASAP so they can grow in a safe, calm home.

Mama is a GSD, and the pups look like little shepherds too. They’ll be ready for adoption in about 5 weeks — we just need a place for them to land until then.
