We are happy to announce that both Portia and Fancy will have puppies in December.

Sheesh y’all! It’s been a journey getting unpacked and organized here, but we’re just about there. A few small projects to complete yet.
There are big things happening here:
* we have the new kennel building just about completely insulated and will start putting up walls.

* Miss Portia has passed all of her health and DNA testing (puppies hopefully coming soon). She is our beautiful silver brindle parti pictured below.

* We have also brought in the foundation for another generation of exceptional standard poodles (sneak peek pictures soon)

It appears as though Facebook doesn’t like our new name so, until I can get them to reconsider we will remain Windwhistle Farm.

You might ask why we decided to change our name in the first place.
The story is this: for many years my husband and I have wanted a home in the south and on the water. In June we were finally able to realize our dream and we are now on the Albemarle sound in North Carolina. To completely realize the dream we wanted to change the name to reflect our passions; water and poodles. So; there you have it, the birth of Sound Side Standards.

We hope you’ll continue to follow along with us on our newest adventures.

It’s way late so I apologize, but wanted to get a post in before heading to bed.
The next big change all of you are going to see is the name of our page. We will be: Sound Side Standards as of tomorrow. Please, take note and I hope you will all continue to follow and like our page.

The first big change happened for us on June 6, 2024.
We have been able to realize a lifelong goal: a home in the south on the water. Now, we’ve had to downsize the amount of land we have as well as the size of the house, but we now have a beautiful building that will provide housing for our adult dogs. Mommas and babies will always remain in our house to be raised in a clean and healthy environment.
More to come!

It’s official and the time has come. Greg Newton and I are headed south for some sand and water. So, now to sell this house and move on to warmer pastures.

This 3644 square feet Single Family home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It is located at 8690 Rice Rd, Shippensburg, PA.

This boy is the last little man standing from Fancy’s January litter. AKC standard poodle male, black and white tuxedo parti that looks like he may fade to blue.

3 beautiful 15 week old standard poodle boys. Have been vaccinated and dewormed as necessary. Parents have been DNA tested as well as completely health tested to meet OFA standards. Crate trained and working on potty training; smart, healthy and happy.

Our sweet Ruby girl was spayed today. She’ll be living out her retirement years right here with us. Thank you Ruby for all the beautiful babies you have given us!

The last of the Ruby litter.
These are some of the most beautiful and well mannered babies, but sadly it is her last litter.
Two of her babies from this litter have been chosen for service and it will be an absolute joy to watch them grow into their journey.
If you have been thinking about getting a poodle or are looking for a service dog yourself drop us a message. Several good candidates in this group still looking.
