Didn’t get around to posting because of the holiday but wanted to congratulate Avery and Cain for collecting another two points on Friday at Shawnee Kennel Club under Judge Nathaniel Horn. WD/Bow/BOB for Avelyn Cain is Able. They haven’t been out much so it’s nice to see them get within a few singles of his championship.
Sorry the picture is not great it’s all we have but I kind of like it anyway.

For those who don’t know, I recently moved to northwestern Texas (two weeks ago, on the 21st). A huge thank you to Kim Carpenter for bringing most of my dogs down here — she took excellent care of them. ❤️
Anyway, I entered Rhiannon (Avelyn Taken by the Wind) in the shows this weekend — her very first time out at just under 7 months old. To my complete surprise and shock, she won Best Puppy, Winners Bitch, and Best of Winners for a 5-point major at the Trinity Valley Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Specialty Show, judged by breeder-judge John Arvin!
I’m over the moon and so thankful for all the support, especially from my bestie Anita Innamorata Stout, who has given me a safe place to land and the best bucket bitch ever! 💕
Thank you to Missy Brong for being the absolute best trainer with Rhiannon,
Debbie Holly for letting me use Rocky and all her support,
Meghan Lancaster for always pushing me forward with positivity when I was at my lowest,
and Jenna Laws for being my rock.
Also grateful to TVRRCOT for the beautiful prizes!
I just love this girl. She is such an amazing little show dog and I’m already dreaming about her bright future.

We have a returned female who is just over 1 years old looking for a new forever home. Aurora was placed with us back in December through no fault of her own, her family are having a health crisis. Anyway Aurora (Rory) has a lot of energy and would be best in a very active home with older children. She is fine with other dogs and cats though may give chase and dogs closer to her size are better for her. Please reach out for more information.

Busy weekend here at Avelyn. Looks like we may be down to just one puppy to find her home. Will know tomorrow which one. That was a lot of girks in that litter.
Saturday showed in Maryland with no luck for Cain or Olwen under the provisional judge. Though was able to get my beautiful OH rosette from the national from Jenna along with a nice breakfast with my dear friend.
Then went again this morning (both days 8am ring time 😴). Judge change to David Kirkland. Took Rocky the dad to my recent litter and won WD then had to run grab Olwen (TullyxAlice) to have her get pi**ed at me for leaving her, making a bit of full of herself in the ring to lose her class but collect herself enough to get reserve to the four point major anyway. She’s finally maturing in look and is not all legs anymore. I just love her. Anyway back in the ring for best of breed with Rocky to get Best Of Winners collecting the cross over major. I have shown him six times and won three of the six taking all majors. He needs two singles for his championship.
