For those of you who don't know, I started a Facebook group called, Healed By Horses as a way to try to help anyone who might be struggling with depression, PTSD, addiction, self esteem, etc. I also wanted to share horses with low income families, underprivileged youth, and more.
When I first started this group, I said that I was using it as a prototype for something bigger. I said that I wanted to bring the group to life.
Well, everyone ...

Rob's Trail Training would like to invite you to the first Healed By Horses Hangout and free family day camp in Wantage, NJ!

Let me explain. I'm holding a free, two part event on April 23rd. The first part of the day will be a family style day camp where there will be different stations for people to learn about grooming, tack, anatomy, q&a, etc. There will also be some short riding demos in the arena.
The afternoon/ evening will be more focused on the Healed By Horses side of things. There will be more of a focus on the arena where we'll have an opportunity to hear some testimonials and stories about how while getting to know some great horses in more of a tailgate type situation.
I'm going to be on the road up until the week of this event, so I'm leaving Meagan Minutolo and the rest of my amazing friends and volunteers in charge of getting things ready. This post is just to see if anyone is interested in participating. We'll make sure to keep everyone updated as we work out the details. I hope to see everyone there!

Gotta love a good happy client testimonial! This one was from Meagan Minutolo… This is why Rob Gilbert is so highly rated in my book! Listen to how he explains why Ben is scared of bikes to my friend’s 9yr old daughter who offered to help by riding her bike after I told her we were working on teaching Ben there is nothing to be scared of. The explanation is informative and a great teaching moment for her and all horse lovers. And if you watch until the end you can see and hear how he guides my friend who was also helping on how to approach Ben in a way that would not create anymore fear of rolling objects but encourage bravery!! I have so many videos to share but I just love this one for the teaching moment!

Ben was a scared and fearful horse of bikes especially but also of strollers and anything on wheels coming at him! This is the progress we’ve made already in only a handful of sessions. #sobrietythroughhorses

I can't thank everyone enough for the response and support that I've gotten since starting this page. On one of my previous posts, I was asked about holding a clinic. On that same post, someone else graciously offered the use of their property and an amazing indoor to host a clinic for me. Before I set anything up, I wanted to see how many people would be interested. Would anyone be interested in attending a desensitizing/confidence building clinic?
