When I hear your car pull in the driveway, I jump up & search for my fav toy or ball. I wait for you, tail wagging. I don’t surrender the ball because that is not the point. The point is that I’m so happy you’re home. My person.
I know that no matter how thankless or stressful your day has been, you can’t help but smile at the sight of me.
I can see your face and your body soften.
I think you must be awfully stiff when you’re away from me.
You and my other people will take turns burying your faces in my fur, whispering things you don’t tell the others.
My fur has absorbed a lot of tears over the years. It has felt so much love & laughter.
I’m meant to be with you my whole life.
I only wish it were longer.
I make everything better.
God sure knew what He was doing when he made me.🐾🐾

Sooo the buyer backed out *obviously at no fault to this perfect gentlemen. We started thinking, maybe God had a different plan. As he was the one all alone, I had the option to move on to the next family. But it was far too late for that, he had one family so in love with him already. The perfect family. One with two boys that could still spare a whole lot of love & dream of taking him fishing, duck hunting, & on every adventure possible. This is the first episode about the one that never left… this boy is ours & will be a part of our family for the rest of his days. Drake Woodreaux Sexton, you are one loved little guy. Who knew, this one was already home. 🐾🐾🐾

Jim & Terri Kennedy had to put their 15 year old lab, Abby down a few months ago. They had been looking at other dogs, but understandably so, they were apprehensive & their hearts were still broken. Jim called me one night & quite possibly asked me more questions than any person has ever asked in a short amount of time.
It didn’t bother me because I knew it meant he cared. Then once he told me what happened, I knew he was just needing peace of mind. I don’t let just anyone take home my sweet babies. I always pray over them. No doubt God sent the perfect people! They were both so excited, like two kids getting a puppy for the first time & it melted my heart. He also has a sweet furry brother named Mason & tons of grandkids he has gotten to play with. He has settled in just fine & just like all the others, I’ve gotten the best behavior reports from Mama & Daddy. Thank y’all for giving Rip Kennedy the best home I could ask for & loving him the way he deserves to be loved!! I wish y’all a lifetime of happiness with your sweet boy. I can’t wait to come visit y’all when we play baseball! ❤️❤️🐾🐾

Remember the sweet kids opening their presents at Christmas & realized they were getting a puppy?!? Meet The Foster Family! Mama & Daddy had a lab named Beau they lost years ago. They have always loved the breed. But never had a dog since kids. The oldest, Asher had been saving his money to get a dog, not knowing Mama had already found one! These kids were so excited to pick their puppy. The sweetest part of it all, well there were two.
When they got ready to leave, everyone was headed to the car. Asher stopped looked back at me & waited for me to catch up. He wrapped his little arm around me, looked in my eyes & said, “thank you.” Seems simple enough, but that thank you from a little boy that I was able to provide his new best friend was everything to me. On the way home, the youngest boy, Brooks said, “I think he will miss his birth mom like I do sometimes.” You never know when a moment is seen through a kid’s eyes differently. Not one kid has ever thought about them being a baby, leaving their Mama when getting a puppy. But in this situation, Brooks sweet little innocent heart related to his new little brother knowing that they were both so fiercely loved & would be just fine because they had their family. I may or may not have sobbed a little from all of the sweet moments. No doubt in my mind God put this family in place just for Mr. Rucker James Foster. “Ruck” will be loved unconditionally for the rest of his life. Thank you Foster Fam for trusting us & becoming a part of our family! 🐾

This is AMAZING!! So, it all started whenever Abigail wanted a puppy, then she talked her Aunt Danielle into a puppy too!! So the Hensley Family & The Bryant family both came together to get their new babies. Their puppies are both spoiled rotten & so loved. Abigail was so gentle & loving & I’ve gotten so many pictures of Danielle rocking her baby to sleep. No doubt they are the best Moms ever! The best part is, Hank & Howie will get to be besties!! They met up last night & it is the first of many play dates for these two. Congratulations on your new family members & thank y’all so much!! 🐾🐾

You’ll want to hear about this one!! It’s safe to say, it was love at first sight. Big brother Rowan has been counting down the days until he picked up his girl. As soon as they got in the truck to leave, Luna was tucked in & asleep ready to go with her new bestie. Luna had a special bond with my oldest son (Lane) so when choosing a middle name for her, they considered him. Y’all!!! Her name is Luna Lane Parden!! 😭I’ll never get over that!! Thank you Kyle, Raley, & Rowan for giving this girl a lifetime of adventure, love, future swims in the pond, & a little boy to grow up with. Oh & when they left & I shut the truck door I heard a little voice, I asked his Mama, what did he say? She said, “he said I love you.” 🥹 I love you too Rowan!!

The Young family picked up their baby boy. His name was Chief, but his big sister Brenna had other plans after meeting him. His name is Murphy after Navy Seal, Michael Murphy. We think it’s perfect!! It’s safe to say it was love at first sight & this boy loves his family. I have no doubt in my mind he is spoiled rotten already. It was our pleasure meeting y’all & we can’t wait for more updates & adventures with Murph!! As always, we have made new friends for life.🐾🐾

Heather Armstrong is a 35 yr. old married mother of 3 young boys- Hunter 10, Jaxon 8 and Maddox 6. She has been married to Bubba Armstrong for 10 years who served as a Springhill Police Officer until recently taking a position at Wade Correctional Center.
Heather was seen by Dr Kerr at the Spine Institute on Halloween after having pain/numbness to the left side of her body and neck. The MRI by Dr Kerr there found Heather's spinal cord was severely compressed causing paralysis. Dr Kerr attempted surgery on 11/1 but he stopped the surgery before it even got started good due to not being able to get a baseline motor function to Heather's left side. She was transferred to WK Pierremont on 11/3 where Dr Guthikonda (Neurosurgeon agreed to take her case. After looking through her records and a few tests of his own, he agreed that this surgery was imminent and informed us that there could be permanent damage to Heather's spinal cord. Heather got through surgery on 11/6/23.
Heather was discharged home on 11/9. She has had Home Health including therapy and continues to improve weekly. She is walking with a cane and has regained some use of her left arm. She will see Dr Kerr again at the Spine Institute next week as there is another spot on her spine that will require surgery.
Her husband, Bubba, had just started a new job at Wade Correctional when this all happened.
He was halfway through his training and unfortunately, he had to sit out and restart the training program. Heather works from home and has had to file for short and long-term disability. We all know this process is very slow. Because of the situation, there has been no income for this family.
This process has been and will continue to be very long and hard for this family. This was all very unexpected and has put a very bad financial strain on them. As we all know, bills do not stop so any help for this family will be greatly appreciated.

Happy THIRD Birthday to my babies!!!
💚Peaux Boy Newell who still lives with his three best girls & his parents. He is spoiled & so fiercely loved! Does everything with his fam. Every day is special when you are PB!! 💙Arlo Martin who has travelled more than I ever will. Still loves a mouth full of toys. Has more energy than me. But is THE best big brother to baby Noa! Has the best parents in the world! Reads with baby Noa & even teaches her to drink from the dog bowl. 🧡Copper Friday who still loves his girl. Helps out with lots of love & provides assistance to his owners. Loves his life as a service dogs. Waits patiently every day for Abby Jo to get in from school. ❤️💜Diesel & Dixie who are still stuck together like glue, are spoiled, & loved so very much! 💖Ruby Moberly who lives by the water, is a shed dog 🦌, & loves her family. She is spoiled & still sleeps with Luke, her big brother. She had pancakes & steak for her birthday today! 🤍Bailey Kaye Hicks who lives on a 50 acre farm with my amazing parents, is spoiled ROTTEN, plays with her bestie (& aunt) every day, rides the tractor, & is my daddy’s shadow! Best of all, I get to see her all the time, how well she’s cared for, & see how happy she makes my parents. I sure miss my Remi Lynn Sexton. But it heals my heart knowing she lives on every single day through her babies. ❤️‍🩹
✨I wish I had time to write a book about my dogs, the in betweens, all of their people, service, & travels. But for now I’ll share it here with y’all. I have truly cherished every moment getting to meet people from all over the world & add them to our SKCo. Family. When you get a dog from me, our story continues after you leave. I soak up every moment! I started this to breed top quality 🦆 dogs. Man have we went so far beyond that with these babies. These dogs have made me rich in ways I never imagined. If you raise dogs, you KNOW I don’t mean money. 😂 Taught my kids so many things that they couldn’t have learned otherwise. Made my husband, sons, & I all learn that we will never, ever clock out!! But also about truly amazing people. It has been my pleasure. I love y’all!

🐾🐾Eeek! We are 6 weeks old today! 🎉
We are getting bigger by the day, prettier, & are literally the sweetest, cuddliest babies!! Tomorrow is our health check & first set of shots. There are only 3 of us available for amazing homes only! AKC Labrador Retrievers located in Shongaloo, LA. PM us about a deposit today. We will be ready to go home soon. 😭🥰

Always watching the house & waitin’ on Mama to come home or let them in. ❤️ This is the Dam & Sire to our current litter. R***r Scout Sexton is 5 years old & Beretta Jane Sexton is 3 years old. They are two of the most laid back, loyal, loving dogs you’ll ever meet. Their pups reflect that personality. Literally the most laid back litter we’ve ever had!! This was her first litter & she has done an amazing job. We only have a few available!! 🐾🐾🐾

Today you will notice I’ll be uploading a ton of SKCo. Family pics in an album. I have about 14,000+ pics on my phone currently. About 4,000+ of those are my fur babies & their families. I get pictures & videos weekly at the least of previous pups. Not to mention the ones I take of mine. So I thought I would make an album so everyone could enjoy them as much as I have.
