Anyone use a GPS dog tracker that you like or have any to avoid? Don't mind paying for lte service to be covered better either. I have been researching and google hasn't helped pick a clear winner 🤣 Just want to be prepared once Zoey can be outside more incase the day comes a gate doesn't get latched or if she's huge and can get over something. Assuming she would prob like to chase and take down some varmits lol Thanks

Its been a bit since we have told our story how we came to be Poppy's Pigtopia and was asked to share by supporter and friend today. If we go back to the start of our pig journey it started when Stacy Jenkins with Jenkins Forever Farm had arranged for Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary to bring some animals to Cruz Pedregon Racing open house the wknd of US Nationals in Indy 2018. I had adopted some ducks the previous yr from A Critters Chance and that was where Oinking Acres had originally been helping foster pigs for so we struck up a conversation that led to me saying I would adopt two piglets. Those were Poppy and Olive who were 5 mos old sisters. When I went to pickup the girls I met Alvin there and never in my life knew an animal was meant to be mine like he was. Nothing was keeping me from getting him. I was in my car alone so I loaded the girls and headed home. 2 wks later I made the trip with my daughter Devon Noel Willming to get Alvin. That was a whole experience itselfs as he got hangry on the way home and an emergency stop at the truckstop Arbys was made. In 2 wks we went from no pigs to 3. While they became a huge part of our family we knew pigs were our thing. In Feb of 2020 Olivia contacted us and said I have a baby & that was Champ so boom 4 pigs. Then the next yr Pugs & Pepper had a rough start and we now have 6 pigs. All is smooth sailing till end of Feb 2023 and Poppy gets sick. She isn't wanting to eat breakfast so off to Purdue we go. This was a Sun morning and we had to say goodbye Wed night. Never really got definite answers but her kidneys went fast and not knowing with 5 more at home, one a full sister was scary. After a couple months Olivia with OA reached out with Maggie thinking she might help us heal so back to 6 pigs and that was a hard one after Poppy. We had talked about getting our 501c3 and doing the sanctuary officially casually and finally decided in June to take the leap. Continued in comments

Sleeping 4-5 hrs is awesome but then Zoey is up and ready to go. Obviously at 10:45am she is tuckered out from tormenting Mom & Dad from 4am on 🤪 so if anyone would like to come entertain a puppy around 4-5 am send application 🤣 thankfully she is very smart so potty training is going well and we just need ol Uncle Buck to remove the stick from his butt lol

Rural King is closing and everything is on sale. My sister was kind enough to go and grab us a bunch of stuff so prob won't find a few pig items 🤪 but they have these dog houses super cheap if anyone needs one or could help someone in need out.

Would like to give a shoutout to Dr.Linda at Arthur Vet Clinic for taking such good care of Buck. He goes every 6 wks for chiro and last Thurs started injections. He has been back on the couch more this week than he has in the past 2 months. Hard to imagine but you could see it after the 2nd one, he was jumping around more and looked happier. Buck is atleast 14.5 yrs old maybe older and his cushing meds and joint care have made a huge difference in maintaining his quality of life as he ages.
