Waylon and Willie update that I’m SO excited to give!!!

Two weeks ago, I left Dr Matt’s office with a broken heart and not a lot of hope for these babies. I asked for prayer for them and boy did the good Lord deliver! Today I walked out of Dr Matt’s office with two completely healthy boys who are ready to go to their new homes. God is SO good and hears our prayers for our animals bc he loves them too. They are fighters and we never gave up on them and they never gave up on themselves.

Willie (silver) weighed in today at 8lbs 4oz and Waylon (chocolate) weighed in at 7lbs 8oz. They got their first round of puppy vaccinations today and didn’t even flinch.

First photo is of them with their momma right after they were born. (They were #1 and #2) Second photo is when they became the only two left. Third photo is today. 💙💙

Thank you so much for following along on their journey, and for loving them and praying for them as much as I do.

I haven’t posted any updates here on our Belle X Hooey babies. Eight weeks have passed since they came in to the world and their momma left it. Unfortunately, of the eight babies, only two survived. They are now eight weeks old and preparing to go to their new homes. They are fighters and have overcome so much in their short little lives.

After taking a year off, we are so excited to announce we have a confirmed pregnancy for our Belle X Hooey pairing!

This will be a gorgeous litter that can produce silver/charcoal/champagne/black/chocolate/yellow. Literally every color!

The genetics on these two are as good as it gets. Hooey was bred/raised right here by us and is a son of our beautiful Josie. Belle is a daughter of Juneau of Southern Legacy Labradors. Juneau is one of the most stunning Labradors I have ever laid eyes on.

I will be opening a reservation list for this litter soon! Pm me if you’re interested.

Been a little MIA lately, but wanted to hop on and say happy new year and share these photos of our beautiful Josie out enjoying the snow today. Josie is always photogenic, but when she gets out in the snow, it’s like she thinks she is posing for the cover of a magazine!

We have some wonderful pairings planned for 2023 that will include Josies very last litter before retirement so stay tuned!

Todays 🐾PUPDATE FRIDAY🐾 is a little different, this is going to be an introduction.

We are pleased to introduced you to June (June Bug, Junie B.) June is an F1b Goldendoodle that we acquired back in June (which is where she got her name). She is such a sweetheart and fits in perfectly with the rest of our crew. We are so thrilled to have added her to our program and you can look for Goldendoodles to be added to our available puppies in 2024.

On this day, I am reflecting back on what a wonderful 2022 we have had. I am so thankful for each of our puppy families who trusted me when it came to choosing your new family member. I put my heart and soul in to these babies and love seeing the joy they bring their new families. I am looking forward to 2023 and the sweet babies that will be making their debut.

As you celebrate this day with your families and fur babies, remember how thankful I am for each of you. Happy Thanksgiving!

🐾Pupdate Friday🐾

Meet Dolly!

Dolly is such a special girl to everyone who knows her. Dolly is a Josie X Huxley Labradoodle. She is out of the very first litter of puppies we ever raised.

Dolly had a pretty rough start to life. She went through a couple of homes before we were able to find her perfect fit. We were all shocked to find out pretty early in her life that she is a type 1 diabetic. Dolly came back to live with us and Dr Matt (our AMAZING vet) was able to get her blood sugar stabilized and we were able to get her on a regular insulin regimen. Once that was all in place, we started searching for the perfect family who was willing to take on a medically complex girl with the sweetest disposition. That’s when we met Paige. Paige is truly Dollys angel on earth! One of the main things I wanted for Dolly in her new home was for her to be able to continue with Dr Matt bc he was familiar with her case and takes such great care of her, and Paige agreed to that even though it’s a little bit of a drive for her.

Dolly lives a life a luxury like the queen that she is! She loves water bottles (just like her momma), loves playing with her two poodle siblings, and HATES baths (again like her momma).

We love you Dolly girl, and Paige, we are so thankful to you for the wonderful life you have given this precious girl.

Meet Aspen!

Aspen is a Belle X Banks charcoal baby. She is part farm girl, part sorority girl. She loves life on the farm, taking selfies with her mom, the A State Redwolves, Greek life, pestering her grandma, swimming and sleeping.

Aspen, you are a beautiful girl and we love watching you grow up! 💗

Todays Pupdate is our very own Josie! She is turning FOUR years old today. This girl is the foundation of BSL and we love her more than you could imagine. If you have a Josie baby, you have a gem, I promise.

Josie loves her family more than anything. She wants to be with us wherever we are. She could chase a ball all day long and would if you’d throw it that long. She loves cheez-its and socks. She also loves skunks, which has led to her being grounded for the last several days, and she’s not a fan of that.

Meet Remy!

Remy is an Abby X Case baby who LOVES camping at the lake with his family and causing his momma an exorbitant amount of stress. 😂

I’m fairly certain that every time his family gets in the vehicle, he thinks he’s supposed to be in there with them. Remy has a little boy and little girl that he gets to grow up with and they keep him very busy.

We are REALLY hoping that Remys dad will one day agree to let him have a puppy sibling. Raise your hand if you think he should agree! 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

🐾 PUPDATE FRIDAY (a little late)🐾

Meet Rue (chocolate) and Honey (yellow)! These sweet girls have a very special story. ❤️

We love when families come back to us to add another lab baby to their family. We met Allee last year when she added Honey to her family. Honey is an Abby X Case puppy from 2021. While Allee may be Honeys owner, we are pretty sure Allees papaw is Honeys person. 😂 Those two are the very best of friends.

Allee decided Honey needed a sibling and that’s where the story gets really cool. Rue is an Abby X Banks puppy from Abby’s 2022 litter. That makes her Honeys half sister and that’s not even the coolest part! These sweet sisters who were born one year apart, share the exact same birthday! We aren’t sure how Abby did it, but May 5th seems to be her favorite day to welcome her babies.

We love watching these sweet sisters grow up together!

Meet Ollie!

Ollie is from our Josie X Banks litter and is living his best life with such an awesome family. He has his very own swimming pool that he loves to play in (and lounge by!) One of our favorite things to see Ollie doing is going to the hill to visit his girls. Woo Pig!!! We know if Ollie could speak and give us his thoughts on the Mississippi State game tomorrow, he’d definitely say “HOGS BY 90!!!”

Daisy is from our Belle X Banks litter and she is absolutely stunning.

Daisy lives with her family in Oklahoma and is currently in a Retriever Training Program where she is doing amazing! I love following along on her trainers page and seeing all the things she is doing. I cannot wait to watch her hunt. 🦆 🦆

Meet Emmy Lou and Harlie. These sweet sisters are from our Belle X Banks litter and they are absolutely gorgeous.

Every kid should get to grow up with a lab and these girls have a boy and girl at home that are getting to do just that!

They love rides on the side by side, kayaking and living life on the farm with their kiddos.

Of course one is calm, cool and collected and the other is 90 to nothin all day long. I’ll let you try and figure out which is which. 😂

Today we would like for you to meet Melo! He is from our Abby X Banks litter and is living his absolute BEST lab life with his family.

As you can see from the photos, Melos family is very active in the outdoors and he spends his days on the lake, at the river, riding (and driving) the side by side, hanging at the farm and ends his days relaxing by the fire.

We love watching this sweet chunk (literally already almost 50 pounds at 4 months old) enjoying his days and we love his sweet family!

She is doing amazing and we love getting updates from her momma about all the things she’s learning and doing. She has big shoes to fill and we know she is going to do wonderful. In the last photo you can see her being fitted for her service dog vest. What a sweet, beautiful and very smart girl!

I’ve been a little quiet on this page lately, but here’s a little pupdate from our Belle X Banks litter. They are all living their best lab lives in their new homes and that makes me so so happy.

We have 3 sweet babies left from our Abby X Banks litter that I will post tomorrow. They will be half siblings to these sweet pups, and as you can see, they grow off very well.

Haven’t shared much about this litter of lab babies bc they have literally kept me on my toes 24/7 since they arrived.

These cuties aren’t even 5 weeks old yet and are some of the chunkiest babies!

On a personal note……this will be my last litter for a while. After much thought and discussion, I’ve decided to take a little time off from breeding, probably a year or two. Not quitting, just taking a break. I’m tired. 🥴😂 This is also the very last litter ever for Abby, who, if you have ever gotten a puppy out of, then you know she produces such amazing dogs. She is ready to enjoy her retirement here on the farm being the boss dog of everyone else. 😂

Anyways, we have 6 spots available in this litter. I’ll post those below. I’ll also share what you get with one of our puppies.

I share a lot on here about my dogs/puppies. You see the cute, fun and playful side of what I do.

This picture is different. This is a photo of what you DONT see.

The care for your puppy begins long before they are born. The care for your puppy is exhausting, both physically and mentally. The care for your puppy is expensive. The care for your puppy is time consuming.

Your puppy isn’t born under a porch, or in a pile of brush. Your puppy is born in my home. I watched him/her take their first breath. I cleaned them off. I helped them get adjusted to no longer being tucked away, safely inside their momma. I can tell you the exact minute they were born. This is when the real work begins.

I spend the next 8 weeks caring for your puppies every need. Your puppy is seen by my vet within the first four days of its life. Your puppy is given the best dewormer, your puppy is fed the best food, your puppy receives a complete veterinary check up before you ever even meet them. The time I put in to your puppy, to some, would almost seem insane. I do that because I want to raise healthy, well rounded puppies for your family.

Do I get to enjoy lots of puppy snuggles along the way? Absolutely! Is that the best part? No. The best part is go home day. The best part is when I get updates from puppy families and see them thriving and doing well in their new homes. The best part is seeing people love these puppies as much as I do.

What’s the worst part? This week. This week has been the worst part. It’s not always like this week, but sometimes it is. I’ve cried so many tears this week. I’ve lost SO much sleep this week. I’ve spent so much money this week. It’s the unfortunate part of all this, but I love your puppy, and I will fight for them, I will set my alarm for every hour to check on them, I will spend money on them, I will do whatever it takes for them.

The next time you are looking for a puppy to add to your family, please remember how much love, passion, time, work and sometimes, heartache, went in to getting that puppy to you. When you hug your dog, when you love your dog, hug them and love them for me too. 🖤
