February Client Pack Walk was a success! Thanks to everyone who made it out 🥰👏
Private Lesson Client Storm Takes His Training To The Park!
Today we took Storm, a young lab, to a higher distraction environment to ensure he could prioritize commands over distractions like kids playing, other dogs, bikes, cars and more! He did really well overall and it also gave us a chance to see where he still could use some work. Keep up the great work team! 👏
Izzy the 5 Month Old Mix Learns Leash Manners!
Izzy, one of our private lesson clients, was making walks pretty difficult for her owners. Think: pulling non-stop, eating things off the ground and overall being overstimulated and tuned out to whoever was on the other end of the leash.
After one lesson where we introduced the prong collar we have a much different looking walk! One her owners can actually enjoy. It will only get better from here. See you next week Izzy!
Archie Graduates!
Archie graduated a bit over a week ago so it’s time we share his amazing progress! This guy arrived living in a high state of arousal and it was only getting increasingly worse. Walks were not enjoyable for his family (think: dead stops, eating mystery items off the ground and pulling) and he struggled to settle inside and outside the home. These issues made it difficult for his owners to include him in activities and outings, and who could blame them?!
During his time here we set a solid foundation of obedience, taught Archie healthy coping mechanisms to deal with his anxiety and strengthened his impulse control. All of these skills allow him to be a more reliable listener, make better decisions and feel more secure in his role in this overwhelming human world. Archie’s parents are very dedicated to the process so that Archie can continue to be his best self! Be good, buddy ❤️
