I can't take my dog to the beach for a walk because it bothers you on your vacation. You also won't let me rent a house if I have a dog, and I can't bring my dog on public transport either.
However, I can take my dog through the rubble to find you after an earthquake, into the forest after you got lost in the mountains without a map or GPS, under the snow because you went off-piste despite the prohibition, into the water because you swam despite the red flag, and anywhere else you might need because, in the end, it's just a dog... but it will find you.

Last photo of Hachiko, the loyal dog who waited for over 9 years outside Shibuya Station for his master to return, even after he died...
In March 1935, this moving image of Hachiko, the loyal Japanese Akita Inu, was taken, shortly before his death.
This photo represents the end of a story of devotion and loyalty that moved the world. Hachiko became famous for waiting patiently every day outside Shibuya Station in Tokyo for his owner, Professor Hidesaburo Ueno, even after Ueno's death in 1925. For nearly a decade, Hachiko returned to the same place day after day, waiting for his beloved master to return.
Hachiko's story has inspired books, films and memorials around the world, becoming a symbol of unwavering loyalty and unconditional love. This final photo captures the serenity and dignity of a dog who never gave up hope, even in the last moments of his life.
Today, the bronze statue of Hachiko in front of Shibuya Station is an iconic meeting place and a lasting reminder of the power of the bond between humans and animals.
