Ariel is an 8.5-week-old shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She and her siblings were found with their mom in an abandoned camper, braving the cold, but now she’s ready for a loving forever home! Mom is a shepherd mix and dad is unknown.

This little girl is always on the go—playful, curious, and full of energy. But when it’s time to wind down, she’s happy to settle in with a toy or a chew bone. Ariel absolutely loves the snow and will happily romp around in it whenever she gets the chance!

She has received two rounds of puppy shots, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. She will need continued vaccinations and will need to be spayed at 6 months old.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, adventurous pup to join your family, Ariel might be the perfect match! Her adoption donation is $135

Meet George! Named after the street, he was picked up on, and never reclaimed. This lovable, cuddle-loving pup is looking for his forever home! We are guessing him to be about a seven month old pup who is super smart. He’s a pro at snuggling and even has a habit of stealing the covers.

George is still working on his potty training, so he’ll need a patient family to help him continue learning. He gets along great with his foster siblings and does well on a leash. He already knows sit, stay, and lay down—such a smart boy!

While he’s not the biggest fan of the kennel, he only stays in it when his foster parents are at work. He’s also a bit of a goofball who loves to play! Since he isn’t fond of the cold, he comes with his very own sweater to keep him cozy.

Could George be the perfect addition to your family? If you’re interested in adopting this sweet and silly pup, click the link below to apply!
His adoption fee is 135. He has already been neutered, microchip, and is up-to-date on his vaccinations.

We were contacted about this black German shepherd that had been seen running along the highway north of Chatsworth Iowa for two days. Right away one of our trappers (Deanna L) hit the road. With no luck the first day, this morning she went back out. She set up a feeding station, and trap with cameras and sat and waited. Today at 1:15 PM this girl was caught and is safe in custody. If this is your dog please phone Deanna 712-490-8926. She is definitely going to need time to decompress. Thanks Deanna L. for your time and relentless efforts. Tonight she will be warm, fed, and most important safe.❤️

Jimmy is around one year old. He is a male Border Collie/Red Heeler mix (best guess). He is super friendly and a sweetheart. He is working on his potty training. This probably has to do with him being an unaltered male, but he is now neutered, this should get better with time. He gets along just fine with the other dogs in his foster home, and doesnt seem to mind the cats. Jimmy should have a fenced yard and probably playmates. He does not like being crated and left alone, he cries and wants someone to be nearby. If he has another dog or human with him he sleeps through the night quietly. Jimmy still has some puppy in him, and he likes to chew. To make sure he chews on the right things I leave him plenty of bones. Jimmy is learning his commands and appears to be smart enough to learn anything you want to teach him. He is treat motivated which helps with training. Jimmy likes to play tug of war with one of the other dogs, and he wants to play and chase with them all. He is neutered and is microchipped and current on all of his shots. His adoption fee is $135. Jimmy will make a wonderful addition to anyone's family. If you would like to adopt Jimmy please fill out the adoption application. You will not regret bringing Jimmy into your family.

Bradley is back.... due to no fault of his own. He was recently adopted and tried real hard to be friends with the current dog in the home.... but she wasn't having it. Bradley is a Shepherd/Husky mix (best guess) and about 2 years old. He initially came to us a few months back after being picked up as a stray. He limping on his right back leg and reported to our local Animal Control as a possible dog hit by car. Because of possible injuries, we got him up to the hospital ASAP for medical care. Dr. Samuelson said x-ray showed it was a congenital birth defect that does not allow him to bend his back leg. It doesn’t bother him and he uses it as a crutch and he did not recommend amputating. Since It is a birth defect there are no surgeries that can be done that could correct it. He really does get around great and plays hard with his dog friends in his foster home. He doesn’t jump up on the sofa or bed but likes to be next to you on the floor. He goes up and down stairs with no problems and will get his front legs up on the car seat as you lift his back end in. He loves car rides and visits to pet stores and hardware stores. He walks with a leash nicely. He is a big teddy bear. He will sit and lie down for a treat. Bradley is learning his house manners and doing well. He is housebroke when you let him outside a few times a day. Even though he is handicapped we still feel he deserves a home like all the rest. Bradley is in a foster home and can be met by appointment with an approved application. He has been neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, and flea preventative. His adoption fee is $135.

I am BOOGALOO, aka Energizer Bunny. I have lots of energy that keeps you hopping while trying to keep up with me. I’m about 11 months old and a girl who just wants to have fun. I sometimes like to stand next to you at the counter to see what smells so good . I’m working on that. I like to jump up on you either from the front or behind you to let you know I’m here. I’m working on that. I sometimes like to bully my other foster dogs in my foster home and they let me know that’s not cool. I’m working on that. I like to chew on my chew toys and play tug a war with you, but sometimes want to chew on something I shouldn’t if not watched. I’m working on that. I love to pull you around the block on a leash if just wearing a collar. I’m working on that. I like to bark if in my kennel. I’m working on it that. I am all muscles and strong, so sometimes I don’t realize I’m being too rough. I’m working on that.

So what does all this behavior sound like? Yep you guessed it. I’m a strong little pup that wants nothing more than training and guidance to become the coolest girl on your block.

I’m kennel trained and house broke when let outside a few times a day and after exciting play. I love to play fetch with my ball and tug a war which I’m very good at. I do good while walking around the stores that except dogs. When I do want to relax, I love to sit on the back of your chair and rest my head on your shoulder. Warning: I sometimes snore. I may be good with older dogs but probably not cats or kids under teenage due to my age right now.

I have been spayed and microchipped and up to date on shots along with deworming and NexGuard. My adoption fee is $135. I’m in a foster home with 4 other dogs . You can meet me with an approved application below:

Meet Charles!

Charles is a Great Dane/Black Lab Mix (best guess). He is approximately one year old (again best guess). He was trapped Back in August so no real history is known about him. What we do know is Charles is shy and wary at first. He is not aggressive in any way, just cautious. We have also learned that chicken nuggets are the way to win him over. Charles is staying with our friends at Pawsitive Pet Services and he is doing great! He never potties in his kennel and he loves to play with the other dogs. He has been cat tested and he seems good with cats; even backed away from them. Charles was out on his own for so long that he will be a flight risk for a while, and therefore he will need a fenced yard. A four-foot fence is easy for him to go over so a six-foot privacy fence would be perfect for him.

Charles has been neutered, rear dew claws removed, microchipped, and is up to date on all of his shots. His adoption fee is $135. If you would like to meet Charles please click on the link below to complete an adoption application.

Thru the Eyes of Hope

One morning last month there was great anticipation at the shelter. One of the dogs up front heard the ACO call Sheila to see if she could get any dogs out to rescue; the shelter was over crowded, and she needed 8 empty kennels for the weekend. Everyone was so excited thinking they might get to go, everyone but me. I was afraid knowing this was probably my last chance, with my age and health. I had a large tumor in my mouth. I thought if my master no longer would care for me, why would a complete stranger? Sheila came to the shelter and came straight to the back where the big, hard-to-place dogs “like me” are. I hear her walking slowly, looking carefully at each dog, knowing what the rescue will or will not accept. I hear her say to the dog next to me, “It’s your lucky day.” I’m next; I sit up straight with my body pressed against the kennel door to make sure she sees me. She stops, I don’t want her to see that my mouth is bleeding from the tumor. She looks so sad; I think she is crying for me and the others that won’t leave here. She tells me she’s sorry and touches me through the kennel door. She moves on to the next kennel. I was terrified of what was next. I laid down and tried to figure out why I was here. I heard her coming back towards my kennel. She opened the door and said “Come Hope”. I couldn’t, my body was shaking too bad. She picked me up and said “Your coming home with me”. So this is what the mean when they say “In the arms of an angel”. -Brenda Iwen

This is based on a true story. Hope is the namesake of our rescue. She was rescued by Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue’s co-founder Sheila Copple and her husband Nick in 2007. Hope quickly became a loved family member of the Copple family and received the best of medical are including 5 separate surgeries trying to remove the tumor from her mouth. The surgeries were not completely successful as the tumor had grown into her jaw. After moving with the Copple family to Colorado, Hope passed away in 2010 leaving her parents completely heartbroken. Hope will always be loved, remembered and recognized as the reason we do what we do. The above was written in Hope’s honor by the rescues co-founder Brenda Iwen shortly after Hope was rescued.
