Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe at this crazy time. I made a little instructional video to help people who can't make it to the groomer. I will post a couple pics in the comments for trimming by the eyes as well because I my video doesn't show it as well as I'd like. Please don't do anything you don't feel comfortable with. If money is tight, I am taking face trim, sanitary trim and nail trim appointments. Please call (605-275-3643) or email ([email protected]) to set up an appointment. Dog days also has room for daycare if your dog needs to run off some energy! And if they are here for daycare it makes it easy for me to grab them quick and clean them up. Remember only 1 person is allowed in the lobby at a time and if it's in between lobby hours, ring the grooming room doorbell. Stay safe!
Spring is almost here!! Britanie and I made a funny little informational video about the importance of brushing your dogs hair and why sometimes we have to cut off hair that has become matted. We see a lot more matted dogs this time of year because of the long winter months. Great part about hair is it grows back! But if you want to keep your dogs hair longer, we recommend having them groomed every 4-6 weeks to help prevent matting. **PLEASE DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP ABOUT THIS! This post is not to make people feel bad or to shame anyone! Just a educational video*** To book your appointment call dog days at 605-275-3643 and leave a voicemail or email at [email protected]. Thanks!!
Hardy got his head stuck in his food dish holder lol. He didn't mind, and with a little tug it came off. No idea how he managed it lol. Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend! Remember to book your grooming appointments by phone (605-275-3643, leave a voicemail) or email ([email protected])
Hardy had lots to say this morning! So I thought I'd mention that my coworker Britanie is going to be having a baby in November! So I will be the only groomer for the months of November and December. That being said, it's a good idea to book ahead as my schedule will fill up quickly, especially with the holidays. 605-275-3643, leave a voicemail
Happy 4th of July week!! Made a little informational video with Chiquita the aussiedoodle. I'm showing that to be completely free of mats you have to be able to put a steel comb all the way to the skin and comb the length of the body. It might look free of mats, but if you can't get the comb all the way through, it's still matted. I only show it with her face, but you should be able to take the comb down the legs, back, belly, ears, tail everywhere. Brushes just don't work through dog hair as well as they need to. Dogs with longer hair require a lot of maintenance. So be sure to brush and comb regularly and get them groomed every 6-8 weeks to keep them long 😁
Daisy had her pretty smile on today! Merry Christmas everyone!!
