Heyyy all!

We have always bottle raised our kids….. this year both of my older kids are in basketball and we have 4 games every Saturday in various towns plus practices during the week. I am trying to decide on dam raising vs bottle.
Pros and cons of both….
I am worried on time schedule with milking 12 does and our ball schedule or how well does selling go with waiting till weaning?

Suggestions?!

We are CAE negative by test!

I am trying to get our planned pedigrees ready! We have been super busy with our own kiddos! But we should have 14 does freshen, starting the end of January to first of April!

Then we preg checked my girls. I caught truly the other day after i submitted the samples. I need to catch topanga. But ember,caddie, speckle and juicy are coming yearlings so they can be open!

Our herd suffered an unimaginable loss with the loss of our herd queen. J & M hideaway LMF Serendipity aka trip. We bought trip in 2020, just by chance, driving out into Kansas a really good ways!

She has given us two herd sires. Striker we just recently sold after using 3 years. He’s now at “Truth is out there farm” in Fair Grove Missouri.

We have granddaughters, 2 daughters, 1 son… so many family members.

She was such an asset to our herd. She wasn’t a lot to look at in her body but she out produced herself 100 times!

I am brokenhearted to not see her in the barn now. She was almost 8 and lived a great life with us!

Babies are all in the garage then will be moved to the barn soon! Some babies leave this weekend too!

I should add the buckling was 8lbs and doeling was 7lbs. Big kids.

Got a little excited using a borrowed ultrasound machine today 😂😍 How fun! I would love to have one. But using it and never knowing how to work it was a challenge but neat to see some babies!
