Love watching them play early in the morning. Deuce... yeah he says NO it's cold! Lol
On a second note I will be saving up this year for a new back door! Haha
This is Diamond.
Typical husky. She is sooo smart, but also her own self. Getting her to focus was my challenge. It was fun!
She is making a fun 180 since being dropped off!
In this video I was working on a down stay while vehicles went by and life was happening around her. Neutrality is the best social skill to have!
Diamond is doing incredible!
Typical husky.... so smart! She is wanting to sniff everything and do her own thing but I'm being firm enough with her and giving constant feedback with positive reinforcement and she is eating it up!
The awareness she has for me now is a 180!
I'm super excited to see her continued progress!
Bru will still have a long way to go but having been so afraid of cars and noises to the point she would choke herself to get away from a passing car.... I take this as a win.
She is watching and nervous but as you can see she is watching me as well. That's the biggest win!
By her watching me, I'm able to show her confidence and calmness. The cars aren't scary, the vehicles won't come after you and we don't have to engage. We keep walking.
This takes time to fully instill in a dog that has been reinforced in bad thinking habits but it's not impossible. Next weekend I will show her owner how to achieve this level of confidence and calmness and get them on the right track to not only reinforcing better behavior but building their bond as well!

Don't mind my dusty door... Inman says he wants out the cold now, while these goofball have been running for an hour already! Haha.
I went to the bathroom... opened the door to find this blocking my path! 😄 🤣
These two loveable goofballs!
These three have been something else! Haha. They can get rough but they are great about stopping before it turns into something more.
3 GSPs.... not for the faint of heart
3 GSPs are not for the faint of heart! It's been fun when Inman comes to visit while I have Beaux to train! (Ended up being Dueces brother!)
Ace is doing fantastic! This dog has come a long way in such a short amount of time! Star student!
Flavia wanted to help and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to see how he did with someone else. She did great!
Not the best video. It's not easy to do and control a dog at the same time.
Lana goes home next week. The last bit of training is her Reactivity.
This walk was a week in the making. We went up and down my carport and driveway only for 3 days. Once she started to calm down and not immediately try and lunge after anything that moved, we proceeded 2 houses down and immediately came back on a high note. She got fed when we came back and praised a ton.
Today we went all the way around my neighborhood and she was a different dog completely.
Yes she is wearing a prong. She is a heavily muscled dog and to keep her, myself and property safe I decided to use a prong. However I did not choose this until I leash trained her in my yard and then we progressed. So if need be she can go back to a flat collar or slip lead.
Anyway, notice if you can, I'm holding the leash very loosely. When she reacts to some dogs far off I literally use two fingers to give a correction for her mind to turn back to me. After the video we took two small circles had her sit and her state of mind was so different that when we walked past the next dogs she perked up and that was it. I had her sit again to just make sure she stayed calm and then we proceeded.
Reaching these goals for my clients and their dogs is so tremendous to me and I can't wait to see her go home and actually be able to go on walks!
