🐾🐶❤️Meet Rune, an 11-month-old shepherd mix who was found as a stray. While he feels a bit anxious about his surroundings and the shelter environment, his true personality emerges in the yard. There, Rune’s curiosity shines—he sniffs every corner, races around with excitement, and takes in every new scent with wide-eyed wonder.🐶🏡❤️

❤️🐶🐾Meet Tux, a 4-year-old mixed breed who came to the shelter as a stray. He can be a little nervous in his kennel, but once he’s out and about, his confidence shines through. Tux is a gentle, loving boy who just needs a chance to feel safe and loved.🏡❤️🐶

🐾🐶Meet Hallow, a 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix who came to us as a stray. Right now, he’s feeling a little frightened and uncertain about his new surroundings. At first, Hallow didn’t want to walk from his kennel to the yard, but along the way, he met another dog, and that sparked his curiosity. Once outside, his fears began to fade, and his sweet, inquisitive nature started to shine through. ❤️🐾

🚌The Slidell High SWE students had a wonderful time on their Community-Based Education field trip to learn about the Slidell Animal Shelter.
A heartfelt thank-you to Sheila, Emily, Brenda, Jane, Captain Swann, and Sergeant Morris for taking the time to show the students around and introduce them to all the animals.🐱🐶

Lulu is a little chatterbox who loves to talk and even more to cuddle. Give her your attention, and she’ll give you her heart.

🐰Calling all bunny lovers! Meet Baxter, a 5 year old Holland Lop. This guy is the read deal! This little guy is the full package—cute, cuddly, and completely full of character. Baxter ended up at the shelter only because of expenses, not because he did anything wrong. He used to hang out with a big cat 🐱(his BFF) and lived with large dogs 🐶! Hide and seek is his favorite game and he’s pretty good at winning! Also, he is toddler and kid friendly! A bunny this lovable won’t be waiting long as he is a total catch!

🌟 A Big Shoutout to Little Oak Middle School Girls on the Run! 🌟

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the amazing Girls on the Run group from Little Oak Middle School! These incredible girls are truly living out their mission of empowering one another, building confidence, and spreading kindness in their community. 💛✨

We are so grateful to the amazing students, teachers, and staff at Honey Island Elementary School for their generous donations! 🥰💛

They collected blankets, paper towels, cleaning supplies, towels, dog treats, and more to support our animals. The kindness and compassion shown by these students truly warms our hearts.

❤️ After more than 200 days of waiting, Marigold’s big day is finally here! Once surrendered by her former owner and bravely completing heartworm treatment, this sweet girl has found her forever home. Her new life will be filled with love, security, and endless cuddles. We couldn’t be happier for her—happy Gotcha Day, Marigold! 🐾✨
