🐾❤️Forest Ruff’s journey to a happy home took a little detour, but his story has the perfect ending! Yesterday, Forest was briefly adopted but returned when the family’s pup wasn’t quite ready for a new friend. Today, though, it was a whole new beginning—Forest Ruff was adopted by a family whose dogs immediately welcomed him with wagging tails! Even better, his new siblings Honey (not pictured) and Snuggles were both adopted from us, too.
Now, these three lucky pups are set for a lifetime of fun, friendship, and tail wags. Forest Ruff has found his forever family, where he’ll be treasured and loved every single day. Congratulations, Forest—welcome home!🐾❤️

🎄 Spread Holiday Cheer: Our Christmas Angel Tree is UP! 🐾

​The most wonderful time of the year is here, and we need your help to make it magical for the shelter pets at the Slidell Animal Shelter!

​Our annual Christmas Angel Tree is officially up and sparkling, and it's filled with adorable faces waiting for a little holiday love.

​How You Can Be a Pet's Angel:

​Visit our location: Gause Boulevard Veterinary Hospital, located at 2190 Gause Boulevard East in Slidell.

​Pick an Ornament: Each ornament features a photo of an adoptable pet from the Slidell Shelter and their personalized Christmas Wish List!

​Fulfill a Wish: Purchase an item (or a few!) from your chosen pet's list. These items will go directly to making their time at the shelter brighter and help them feel loved this holiday season.

​Drop Off: Bring the gift(s) (wrapped or unwrapped) back to our hospital by December 18th so they can be delivered to the pets in time for Christmas!

​Whether it's a cozy blanket, a fun toy, or some tasty treats, every little bit helps fulfill a sweet pet's Christmas dream. Let's make this the best Christmas yet for these deserving dogs and cats! 💖

There, Rune’s curiosity shines—he sniffs every corner, races around with excitement, and takes in every new scent with wide-eyed wonder.🐶🏡❤️
