Our goal is to have stall mats finished in the south wing of the barn, the tack room and lounge cleaned out, and the indoor arena finished by mid-February, around the 12th-20th. We called about our stall fronts to see how far out they are and are waiting for them to get back to us. Our trainer and her horses are getting settled into their new home and looking forward to our grand opening!! Here’s a picture of her horses in their new stalls, with their temporary stall fronts… (I don’t think they mind)

We are delighted to unveil the stall fronts we have been envisioning. The latch is ingeniously integrated into the sliding doors, and the gossip gates latch up to accommodate horses with less-than-desirable manners. We are thrilled to install 50 stall fronts and 50 stall mats and have ordered four triaxles of masonry sand to renovate our indoor arena. We are now accepting applications for board starting in March. Please private message for an application to determine your rate. Rates commence at $425 per month. The first filled stalls will receive a discounted rate to initiate this exciting journey.

Stall mats are being delivered today and our stall fronts have been shipped! Our trainer has moved into the house 💗

Things have been held up with the weather. We are expecting the stall mats here after the negative temps pass. They arrived in Clarion. We told them to wait until the temps go up so we can tamper the gravel and fit the mats properly. Stall front wood is scheduled to start tongue and groove on Monday. We plan on finishing up the house tomorrow.

A continuation of this mornings video

They used up the wood faster than the sawmill was cutting, so we are on a short break until the sawmill catches up!! Figuring on Thursday to resume, hopefully!

Still putting in the stalls. Floors tamped and walls going up!! Floor in the house basement is being scrubbed down. It’s concrete, so once it gets a good scrub it should be finished

We are at Home Depot buying new commodes, and some more flooring. We ran out. Then to Sam’s club and Walmart with all the blizzard preppers. Oh what fun!

We are trying to think of our best options for stall feeders. We ordered the drop down to fill hay nets that have the frame and clip to hang the mouth part up. We are going with regular water buckets and also heated for the winter (every stall has its own outlet) and we are thinking of rubber pan feeders that have the clips to hang. One because they’re safe and two bc they can be easily removed if necessary, and since they clip in the horses can’t throw them around their stalls. We don’t want to build wooden boxes to prevent cribbers and chewers, and we want to be able to easily remove them for the ones that like to poo in their buckets.
Any suggestions

P*e saturated vinyl tiles ripped out of the basement of the house. Next we are going to hose it down and scrub it with vinegar and dawn dish soap. There’s a drain in the basement floor so we can do this. So thankful because it’ll be so much easier this way
