Sweet baby Ty came in today for some pampering 😍 and did sooo well!
Mother Nature didn’t cooperate for any cute outdoor pictures 🌧️ so we’ll try again the next time he comes in. Amanda Norman, thank you for bringing him in ~ it was great getting to catch up with you! 💙

A little piece of my heart went to Texas today when Koe’s “real” family went home. He was THE sweetest. A huge thank you to the Grimes family for choosing me to care for their baby boy. 💙 I can’t wait to see him again as he grows up! 😍

Tillie Maye (probably not her real middle name) had a matting situation that had to be rectified today and we got ‘er done.
I wasn’t sure she wanted to leave when her dad picked her up. She seemed to fit in just fine here at HochaHound 😊

Frances refused to pose for me amongst the flowers - but today was her first appointment and she did phenomenally!
Such a sweet baby that actually fell asleep while I dried her hair, but that’s par for the course- I’d fall asleep if someone played with my hair too 😂

I had the absolute privilege of removing Mr. Rufus’s winter ‘do today. He looks like a totally different floofer! His owner recognized his coat was too matted to save with a good brushing and we did what was best for this sweet baby - we’re starting fresh!

Just a reminder - I do what I do because I love dogs. In the midst of all the boarding and grooming, I’ve made friends with the parents along the way, and although I may grasp at straws trying to remember your name, I’ll never forget your dog’s name.
Don’t message and apologize for how they look. Dogs are dogs. My 5 dogs, should you see them sometime, look partially feral. 🤣They run and play and I have to call them up out of the creek to come eat, they chase each other through the pastures, they roll in the occasional dead squirrel. I’m met every evening with sloppy, messy feet, beards and wet flopping ears. And they never think to shake off until they’re within inches of me. They’re dogs. Allow that.
I can make the Aussie/Border Collie absolutely shine and once he’s off the grooming table he’s looking for a mud puddle (his favorite is red clay) to roll that doggy cologne off. That’s typical.
Let your dogs be dogs. I’ll handle the rest.
This is my lifestyle, and I’ll make them shine, if only for a few minutes - until they get home and find that dead squirrel. 💙🐾💞

I’m thankful for all my old dogs, for the memories we’ve made, for the faith and unending love they’ve shown me. I’m thankful for the young whipper-snappers too, they sure make my days eventful.
