Jet is a young male kitty who showed up at a home in Marietta. Alone and looking for love.
He is very affectionate and loves being inside.
The lovely homeowners had him vetted and fixed, but they cannot keep him. He will be put back outside if he doesn’t find a home.
He will have food, but not the love and companionship he craves. Jet is under a year old and has a lot of years of love to give his special person.
Reach out if you know of someone who can give him a home

Note-his nose was somehow injured prior to him being taken in. The fur is growing back.

This beautiful, fluffy, Tabico was left behind by her family and is now in need of a home. It’s likely she will end up at a shelter if a home can you not be found quickly?
Callie is approximately one year old, she is not spayed . She is friendly, but scared at the moment, since she is not sure what is happening. 😿

Catterns can assist with referrals to low cost, spay and neuter, and might even be able to get donations to help with this if we can find her a home.

Callie is in the metro Atlanta area
Please message as if interested.

And they are FREE!

It’s been two weeks of getting used to their new home. A couple days ago we started leaving the door cracked.
When we arrived today to check on them, they ran out to greet us. 😻

Our little pasta litter. Finally happy.

Someone cared enough…
That’s what the corner of that cat’s ear being tipped (cut off) means. Someone cared enough. Enough to take time out of their day for that wild cat. To load up trapping supplies, go to the trapping location, set traps, monitor traps, and wait hours in most cases to fill traps. Then to bring them home in the traps and get them set up somewhere overnight and care for them. To drive them to the vet the next day, wait in line, and check them in for surgery. To pay (or get vouchers) for them to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated. If they are extra nice, they pay extra for flea meds and dewormer, knowing it will only last a month, but knowing that might be the only month of reprieve they have in their whole life from being eaten alive. They care enough to drive back the next day and pick them up from the vet and in most cases house them for a day or two for recovery. In that time they care for them and make sure they are healing from surgery well. Then they drive them back to the trapping location and release them back to their outdoor home. From there, back home to clean and wash the traps and supplies to be ready for next time. This takes HOURS. Hours for a feral street cat that so many people hate.
So that feral cat you see out there with an ear tip, someone cared enough to take the time to give them a better life. To stop the cycle. To try to tackle the overpopulation and suffering. To help curb the testosterone driven territorial fights and spraying. To help that female not get pyometra from having litter after litter until she dies. To try to keep the numbers down so less people threaten their lives.
That indoor cat with the ear tip…someone cared a little extra. They saw that cats had potential to thrive in a life off the streets and they gave them that chance. They worked with them to overcome their fears so they wouldn’t live that harsh street life with a much shorter life expectancy than indoor cats.
That ear tip is how us trappers identify a cat that has already been spayed/neutered. It is a quick way to look at a feral cat and know if they have been fixed or not. This helps us not trap the same cats and send them through the stress of transport to the vet repeatedly, because we can see they have already been fixed. If a cat with an ear tip ends up in the trap, we can just release them immediately and keep trying until we get a cat that is not ear tipped.
Some people don’t like how the ear tip looks, or how painful it might be (it’s done under anesthesia during their spay/neuter surgery)… But that ear tip is a badge of honor. Someone cared enough.

Good news! Patches has a potential home. 😻
Thank you Catterns Family

Catterns friends.
Meet Patches.

Recently we helped this girl get her shots and get spayed.
She’s safe, she’s fed, but some kitties are just not cut out for outdoor life, being cared for by random apartment residents who may or may not stick around.
She’s still a baby. 8 months old. Sweet, playful and has a whole life of love to give. She would make a great indoor or indoor/outdoor kitty. She deserves her own family.
Please share this post and reach out to us if you or anyone you know want to save her and give her the life she deserves.😻

Day 2 and they all seemed happy to see the keeper of the canned food.

Settling in nicely.

Note.. It’s important when cats are moved to a new location, they have time to acclimate to their surroundings without having the ability to escape. This is especially important when moving feral or timid cats. It shouldn’t take long for these guys to realize this is where their food is, and this is where they want to stay. 😻

Today is the day we have been waiting for.

Our pasta litter
Macaroni, Manicotti, Tortellini, and Ravioli have been relocated to what we hope will be the perfect setting for them.

A little over a month ago, we were contacted by a board member of a local private pool. She was hoping we had some cats that would suit an outdoor environment. The pool was experiencing some rodent problems and, of course there’s always a need for outdoor environments for hard to place feral kitties

We immediately thought of our feisty foursome. This was the answer to a prayer. We waited patiently for the pool to close so the transition could begin.

Mac, Mani, Ravi, and Lini are going to spend the next couple weeks in a small bathroom on the property getting acclimated to their surroundings. Then they will be released to explore the outside, which will be their forever home.

We will provide updates as to how they are doing. Fingers crossed, good thoughts and all the prayers going up that they will love their new environment and the transition will go well. They will have several acres of woods to explore, covered areas in which to stay dry and warm, and people around to make sure they are fed and any medical needs are met.

We are so happy that this opportunity came up for them. Our little pasta family will stay together and hopefully bring joy to the pool members for many years to come.

Amelia and Addison (4months old) are still waiting.

Reasons they are the perfect find for someone looking for a fur baby (or two)

-they are friendly, funny and cuddly
-they are fully vetted(spayed and shots)
-extremely low adoption fee. Just ask, we will tell you.
-they love people, dogs, cats and all things that will love them back.
-they use the litter box perfectly.
-unlike tiny kittens, they have matured and shown their true personalities and they are wonderful.

These girls are in a foster home where they have to share attention with many others. Please consider being their special person. They deserve the best lives 😻

Addison and Amelia are growing up in a foster home and would love to find their own special people.
They do not have to be adopted together, but it would make us so happy if they were.

These girls are the total package. They are independent, but they like attention. Playful, but cuddly.
Both are polite potty goers who always use the litter box. Both have had their shots and have been spayed. The girls are 4 months old.

Addison (Addie) is a tabby and white with just enough orange to make us call her a tabico. Her special gift is biscuit massages. Every animal in the house has been a recipient (or a victim 😹) of her constant kneading. She is obsessed with the dog and would be fabulous in a home with dogs. Addison was the last of her siblings to be rescued from life on the street. She came to the foster home an angry, scared girl, but she has come so far. There is no sign of that terrified kitten. She is prepared to give a lifetime of love to the family as wonderful as she is.

Amelia (we call her Millie) is the foster family favorite. She’s tabby tuxedo with the softest fur. Millie is the first to crawl all over her people, purring up a storm, loving the pets and scratches. She’s playful and smart. We can’t say enough good things about her. She’s just a good girl with an easy going personality.

Addie and Millie are available immediately in Smyrna, Georgia for a reduced adoption fee of $50 each or both for $75.

Please reach out via messenger to Catterns if interested.

We ask that they be indoor cats and not declawed.

Please share.

It’s been a love fest with these three all morning. 😻

Ellis, Addison and Amelia are the last of the Greys. They all available, they are all fixed and vetted and 💯 ready for homes.

We are committed to getting these three placed in the next month. Reduced adoption fees.
We will be featuring each of them individually in the next few days.

They are growing up fast and are amazing kitties.
We know their families are out there.

Where are they now?

Sugar and Spice

One year ago today these two were captured in the same trap. Realistically they were a too old to tame, but we felt they were too young to release to the life of the feral.

Sugar, now Calidor (right) scored big and is with the foster’s BFF. He had some health problems. She scooped him up and took over all his care and he is living the life. A big, healthy, loving boy.

And Spice Girl, well, she never left. Some cats are just too easy to have around and she loves her people. She doesn’t like anyone else 😹, but she’s a happy, happy girl.

We are so happy to FINALLY introduce these 5

The Pasta litter!

When we say it has been a chore to have gotten this far with these guys, it’s an understatement.

Little Penne (top left) showed up with her feral momma at just the right time. She was a little young, but we snatched her up and she immediately ran with the big kids and fit right in with all the ”Greys” We think she thinks they are her siblings. She’s been ready for a home for quite some time now and we would be happy to place her at any time. She will be scheduled for a spay and vetting sometime in August. She is a short haired calico and all things wonderful. 😻

Our hope that she was a singleton was short-lived when a homeowner spotted her momma with the other four.

About two weeks after we got Penne we dug around in someone’s backyard fence with broom handles and flashlights and snatched Tortellini (top right) and Macaroni (bottom left). They were feisty! They have finally started to come around, but it has taken a little bit of time, and they are not quite ready. We are getting there though.

Still, we had two more to get. The wonderful homeowner tried for two weeks to trap them. They were not having it.

Finally, when they were hiding at a wood pile, we came up with a game plan that involved three ladies, tarps and chicken wire. To our surprise, it worked! We were able to bring Ravioli (bottom center) and Manicotti (bottom right) to reunite with their siblings. After a month, we finally had them all back together.

To top it off, there was a slight tragedy when Ravioli and Manicotti escaped foster care and spent a stressful week hiding in the foster’s back yard. So they were captured not once, but twice. Told y’all. It’s been an ordeal. 😓

But here we are! Two girls, three boys. Two calicos, two tuxedos and a beautiful orange and white. They might be the most color coordinated litter we’ve seen. These babies are around 9 weeks old and should all be ready within a month. They need a bit more home training, but we know they will be FANTASTICO!

Kittens are cute, but there is something special about getting a guaranteed lap cat.

Waffle and Tiger are sweet, 4 yr old boys who are looking for a new home.
Due to no fault of their own they can’t stay where they are. The boys are all things good. Neutered, well behaved, cuddly and master litter box goers.
Please reach out to us via messenger if you know someone who might be interested.
Thank you 😻

Who needs toys when you have a junk mail box to play in?😻😹

These two girls are the last of Callie’s litter waiting for their forever home. They watched all their brothers go away and it is their turn.

Addison and Amelia are simply the best. Addison is spunky and independent.
Amelia is by far the most affectionate girl kitty we’ve had. Every morning Amelia crawls all over her foster mom with loud purrs. She can’t get enough love.
Addison loves LOVES the dog and she really loves the other kittens as well. Actually, she likes everybody. She started off timid and has really come out of her shell.
These girls are amazing together. It would be a dream to see them go as a pair.
They are scheduled to get spayed the first week in August.
We hope someone steps up to give them a wonderful home. 😻

After 62 days in “foster care” our girl Zola has hit the jackpot. She’s got two sweet BFFs and a whole family that already loves her as much as we do. We couldn’t happier for her. 😻

The many faces of Levi.

Levi has been the forgotten child in all of our kitty escapades this season. He started off a bit timid and shy. His brothers asked for more attention, got more cuddles and have found their homes.
Today, Levi decided he might try a little of that. He asked for and received all the scratches and pets. He made biscuits and purred and we think he thinks this people love stuff is pretty cool.
Levi is available for adoption at any time.
His neuter and shots are scheduled for August 8th.
$125 adoption fee

Our final two kittens for the season! (Hopefully! 🤞🏼)

You all are probably wondering why we have sooooo many kittens this year.

We committed to helping out in two TNR cases, and when 3 litters were included, we wanted to make sure no kitten was left behind. These guys are siblings to our little calico girl, and are a part of our pasta litter! It took us weeks to catch them, but we’re so happy they’re finally here.
