Teenagers are not always trouble 😻
Teen kitties are the best.
They have overcome a lot of the kitten crazy and you can get a glimpse of their grown up personalities.
Caramel (girl-top), Lenny and Sherbet (boys) have been living in a basement for their whole lives.
They were saved when a lovely lady saved their pregnant feral momma and they were born in a warm home. The trio are completely vetted and have developed into lovely young kitties, but they need one important thing. A family.
Please reach out if you know of anyone who can take one of these sweeties, or two, or three! 😻

Meet Bobbie.
She got her name from her resemblance to a bobcat 😻
Some sweet people have been caring for her but she needs a forever home. She’s loving and smart and an all around great girl. Probably around 8 weeks.
Catterns will help adopter get initial vetting and spay.
She sure would love to spend her first Christmas with her family.

Tuxie Alert!
We know Catterns has been a bit quiet this summer, but we’ve still been active helping where we can.

We’ve been made aware of a litter of black and white kitties who need homes.

They were born outside to a stray mama, but have had lots of love from a family who has reached out to us for help. They are tame and ready for a family.

These kitties will be vetted soon and we are looking for homes for them.
We will post more when we have more information and more pictures!

Please share and reach out to Catterns if you know anyone who might be looking for a new family member 😻😻

Maddox needs an angel.

Courtesy post.
Maddox is a 9 yrs old neutered male and he needs a savior.
Maddox has been a good companion for several years. It takes him a bit to get used to new situations, but once he gets settled his is loving and well behaved. Currently he has a temporary placement but he’s alone in a room with little companionship and he will not be able to stay long.
It is believed by his current caretakers that he should be an only cat.
Good with people and kids.

Please message Catterns for more information.

Maddox is in danger of being surrendered and potentially euthanized if a home cannot be found for him. 😿

Please share and let’s find this beautiful boy a home !

This sweet 18 month old Tabby boy is healthy, neutered and an all around great kitty.
Unfortunately he needs a new home due to some changing circumstances in his family.

Scout likes to be held and cuddled. He is still quite playful and would do well with another playful animal or a human who likes to play with kitty toys. He likes dogs and adults and most likely would be fine with other cats and kids (he just hasn’t had much experience with either)
If you know anyone looking for a well behaved, young kitty, reach out and we can tell you more 😺

This is a courtesy post for someone looking to home these 5 babies.
She believes there are two boys and three girls.
These kittens were born to a stray that the lady took in. The good news is they’ve been indoors, loved on and cared for since birth. They should make great pets

They have not had any vetting, but Catterns can assist in finding low-cost options

Jet is a young male kitty who showed up at a home in Marietta. Alone and looking for love.
He is very affectionate and loves being inside.
The lovely homeowners had him vetted and fixed, but they cannot keep him. He will be put back outside if he doesn’t find a home.
He will have food, but not the love and companionship he craves. Jet is under a year old and has a lot of years of love to give his special person.
Reach out if you know of someone who can give him a home

Note-his nose was somehow injured prior to him being taken in. The fur is growing back.

This beautiful, fluffy, Tabico was left behind by her family and is now in need of a home. It’s likely she will end up at a shelter if a home can you not be found quickly?
Callie is approximately one year old, she is not spayed . She is friendly, but scared at the moment, since she is not sure what is happening. 😿

Catterns can assist with referrals to low cost, spay and neuter, and might even be able to get donations to help with this if we can find her a home.

Callie is in the metro Atlanta area
Please message as if interested.

And they are FREE!

It’s been two weeks of getting used to their new home. A couple days ago we started leaving the door cracked.
When we arrived today to check on them, they ran out to greet us. 😻

Our little pasta litter. Finally happy.

Someone cared enough…
That’s what the corner of that cat’s ear being tipped (cut off) means. Someone cared enough. Enough to take time out of their day for that wild cat. To load up trapping supplies, go to the trapping location, set traps, monitor traps, and wait hours in most cases to fill traps. Then to bring them home in the traps and get them set up somewhere overnight and care for them. To drive them to the vet the next day, wait in line, and check them in for surgery. To pay (or get vouchers) for them to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated. If they are extra nice, they pay extra for flea meds and dewormer, knowing it will only last a month, but knowing that might be the only month of reprieve they have in their whole life from being eaten alive. They care enough to drive back the next day and pick them up from the vet and in most cases house them for a day or two for recovery. In that time they care for them and make sure they are healing from surgery well. Then they drive them back to the trapping location and release them back to their outdoor home. From there, back home to clean and wash the traps and supplies to be ready for next time. This takes HOURS. Hours for a feral street cat that so many people hate.
So that feral cat you see out there with an ear tip, someone cared enough to take the time to give them a better life. To stop the cycle. To try to tackle the overpopulation and suffering. To help curb the testosterone driven territorial fights and spraying. To help that female not get pyometra from having litter after litter until she dies. To try to keep the numbers down so less people threaten their lives.
That indoor cat with the ear tip…someone cared a little extra. They saw that cats had potential to thrive in a life off the streets and they gave them that chance. They worked with them to overcome their fears so they wouldn’t live that harsh street life with a much shorter life expectancy than indoor cats.
That ear tip is how us trappers identify a cat that has already been spayed/neutered. It is a quick way to look at a feral cat and know if they have been fixed or not. This helps us not trap the same cats and send them through the stress of transport to the vet repeatedly, because we can see they have already been fixed. If a cat with an ear tip ends up in the trap, we can just release them immediately and keep trying until we get a cat that is not ear tipped.
Some people don’t like how the ear tip looks, or how painful it might be (it’s done under anesthesia during their spay/neuter surgery)… But that ear tip is a badge of honor. Someone cared enough.
