Jack is one of many awesome pups to have graduated from Canine Connections Finishing School and found his fabulous forever home. He graduated last year and has since been traveling and partying like there's no tomorrow.
For posterity, below is his original petfinder bio. Congratulations Jack!
____
Jack made his first million about as fast as he lost it. Still, he has no regrets since he’ll always have fond memories of his palatial homes with wall to wall squeaky toys. And of course, with his good looks, winning personality, and natural confidence, he has little reason to worry. If one is looking for a buddy ready for all manner of fun excursions, Jack is your pup. Since he tends to play like there’s no tomorrow, he might be a tad overwhelming for families with kids under 8. And if, as his looks suggest, he’s got Basenji in his DNA, his forever family should be willing to continue with obedience training to ensure he dedicates his life to good versus, let’s just say, mischief. Jack is a quick and attentive student and has good social skills with other dogs; he’s also shown himself to be quite empathic and comes to the aid of ours kids when they are sad or hurt. Since he tends to play with gusto, he can be a bit much for dogs with gentler and less confident dispositions. At one year of age and 48 pounds, Jack is a friendly, young, athletic boy who would thrive with active pack leader looking for fun and adventure.
Echo Glen Children's Center is a youth correctional facility located approximately 40 minutes east of Seattle. Canine Connections is a program that pairs the at-risk youth at Echo Glen with dogs that have not yet found successful placements. In this program the youth are taught how to train the dogs in basic obedience through a reward based system. At the end of their training, Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019, each dog will take a basic canine obedience test which prospective families are encouraged to attend.
