A few months ago, I remember having anxious butterflies starting an endeavor I had never done before. I spent over a year harnessing knowledge and skills… finally launching my Train with Joy Program earlier this year with BFF Pet Services.

It’s moments like these that take my breath away as I sit full of excitement and pride for the students I get to coach and mentor.

So unbelievably thrilled for one of my students, Jenny and her dog Sadie. We worked for months developing her dance routine - building tricks, skills, and confidence. Many early morning laughs and big dreams on the horizon.

It’s not just about the training, but our mental space, how we choose to take up a room, balancing expectations and progress with our dog.

It all came down to their last weekend:

Fun award: “Hollywood, Here I Come!”

I am SO PROUD OF THEM. I was over the top excited in my van when I got the news.

You see, when you work in my program, we are a team. We learn so much about each other and how to grow - mentally and through our training.

One of the biggest changes in my life was working smarter AND harder.

Not only am I using my time in a more balanced way, but by working harder AND smarter it means more time doing the things I love and placing my passion of work in areas that truly bring me happiness and fulfillment.

I do think that “work smarter not harder” doesn’t really apply in the dog training world. You have to work hard. You have to apply yourself each and every day to your dogs, your craft, and your business. However, I choose to not waste my time in certain areas with certain people anymore. Best thing I’ve ever done!

So here’s a well deserved rest before our next big project. 🎥

Adventures in LA ✈️

We landed today as we kick off a big filming project this week. I can say more soon! 🤐

Fuji and I landed after a smooth flight with and had the best of care in First Class. The attendants were wonderful!

We met with and walked along the shoreline and had some great chat and puppy playtime. The squirrels here are SO BRAVE and Fuji is SO READY. 🤦🏼‍♀️ It’s so funny how all the dogs that live here and used to it and for new dogs it is mesmerizing. 😵‍💫

We are prepping and doing some homework before we kick off our adventures in front of the camera. Be sure to stay tuned here and my stories for more. ❤️

Human connection. 🤝

After endless interviews and reconnections - we asked one question. “What brings you to Global Pet Expo?”

The answer was clear and astounding - human connection. People just wanted to meet their friends, business partners, and other aspiring brands in person. “There nothing that can compare to seeing and talking to a person face to face.”

Let us not forget what’s in our nature - to be in the accompaniment of others. To see and experience natural expression in person. In the present moment where all of our senses can play a role.

Here you’ll see me with some of my best of friends. I am so blessed and so grateful. Amber, you’re there on top. Thank you for always being such a true and wonderful friend in my life.
