I have been rescuing dogs and cats for close to 30 years, and I am tired.

I am burned out on rescue.

I will no longer for the foreseeable future, be taking in any more dogs or cats.

1. Our low cost vet is retiring. I can no longer afford to pay for animals to get spay/neuter that do not belong to me. The average vet bill has gone from 125.00 for a dog spay to 375.00. All that comes out of my pocket.

2. People are not donating their time, resources etc to help out anymore.

3. I want to focus on my own pets, farm, and my family.

4. People are just not adopting like they used to. It took me nearly 2 years to find Jolene a home. 5 years ago it might have been a few months.

It's just not financially feasible fo me anymore.

So, what does this mean?

I currently have a mother cat and 2 baby kittens.

I have 6 dogs and puppies.

Once these animals are found homes, or are transferred to another rescue I will not be taking in any more dogs or cats.

I am willing to take in small pets like hamsters, birds, etc. Just no dogs or cats.

I do not have great pictures of anyone because my phone is broken. I will make a list though of everyone, and if anyone is interested in giving them a home I will work with them.

These little rascals are ready to go. They are 10 weeks old. Mom is a lab. Father is unknown. I have no idea what he is. Could be multiple fathers.

There are 5 boys, 1 girl. The girl is brindle.

I did an Embark DNA test on the puppies. Embark came back saying they couldn't determine their breed. So they are Supermutts!

I will estimate lab size. They act like lab mixes. They are lab mixes.

They have had their first and second sets of shots and been dewormed 3 times.

I am asking an adoption donation of 150.00 per puppy to help cover their cost of raising while in rescue. Located near Solway MN.

No. I will not deliver.
No, I can't hold them for months.
No, I do not know what their mix is, besides lab mixes.

Yes, they are cute!
Yes, they will be big!
Yes, they will p**p everywhere until housetrained.

Hello friends! My name is Ella and I am a super smart girl. I am so smart that the people here say I get to be a working dog. I will be trained to be a service dog for a lady who really needs my help.

My people here are looking for someone willing to sponsor my medical care. It will cost about 250.00 for me to get spayed (no more puppies, yay!!!) And get my shots all done so I can get to work helping my lady live a better life.

Hello friends and family! We are in need of dry dog food. We feed Purina Dog chow because it's easy to find and is a complete food. Can you help? A bag costs 28.99. We are currently caring for 14 dogs awaiting adoption and could really use the help.

We also gladly accept open bags of food. If your dog is fussy and didn't like the flavor, our dogs are grateful for it! They aren't picky.

Food can be purchased for us at L and M Fleet supply in Bemidji over the phone as well! Chewy, Amazon and Walmart also deliver to us. We are so grateful for all the help people give. Thank you.

Hey everyone! I have a HUGE ask here.

Our dogs really would love to have a place where they can safely run, exercise and play. We leash walk, but it's not enough and I can't do it every day.

It will cost about 1000.00 to build a 50x100 foot "bliss" area. I will use 6 foot tall chaining, steel T Posts, treated timbers for the corners, and a walk through gate.

Would anyone be willing to help towards the project?

Olaf is a 3 yr old neutered male purebred Boxer.

He has separation anxiety. That said, you will never find a more loving marshmallow in dog form.

He is extremely in tune with peoples emotions, and I feel he would be a candidate to be an emotional support animal for a person. He is happiest just being with you. He doesn't need constant attention like some SA dogs, which is good.

He is great with other dogs and cats. He has chases chickens halfheartedly here at the ranch but stopped right away.

Snowy was going to be shot because they were bored with her. Thankfully a young couple stepped in and saved her.

Snowy is a great Pyrenees mix. She will need extensive dental work due to what appears to be trauma to her lower jaw.

She is a timid girl, but very very sweet and gentle.

If anyone would be able to help with Snowy's dental expenses we would appreciate it. I should have a better estimate this coming week.

The challenges of teenage dogs
There’s a saying that parents who have gone through the teenage years with their off spring will relate to - “Parents with teenagers understand why some animals eat their young!”

Many dog owners are unaware that dogs also go through a teenage stage and are frustrated and unprepared for the changes this brings. It’s a sad reality that this is the age that many dogs are surrendered to shelters as their owners no longer “like” the way their dogs behave, can’t handle them and give up on them.

The teenage brain is going through many changes. Think of it as being “rewired”. The rewiring process can cause some parts not to work at all or only work sometimes. Some parts work too much with too much current and new wires cause unexpected results.

There are many similarities to the changing human teenage brain. There’s a valid scientific reason why car insurance premiums for young adults under 25 are more expensive. The brain is not fully matured – irrational decisions, risk taking, poor choices and accidents are more likely to happen.

Be patient, understanding and most of all consistent with your teenage dog. Don’t give up on them. They are feeling just as frustrated as we are. Being aware of what is happening in their brain as it develops to full maturity helps us to be more accepting. Remember that this is just a phase and it will get better.

WALLY HAS BEEN ADOPTES!!!

Wally needs a home. It didn't work out in his foster to adopt because he is too big.

Wally is the best dog in the world. He is a golden retriever terrier mix. Neutered. All his shots done. He is a pudgy 40 lbs. He is blue in color, with the retriever coat.

Wally loves other dogs, children, and cats. He is impeccably house trained. Sleeps in bed with you. Loves car rides. Loves to go for walks. He is a great watch dog, alerting to strangers or noises outside.

Carrie needs a break from rescue, and as such Wally needs a home. Donations are non existent, adoptions are extremely slow, and she needs to focus on her family and pets for a while.

Wally will be shy when he first meets you, but give him a day and he is in your lap. His adoption fee is just 150.00.

In 2022 our rescue group helped find homes or otherwise cared for 76 dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. 3 animals had to be put to sleep due to illness, injury or behavior issues. We altered 46 dogs and cats.

We accepted and found placement for over 250 pocket pets- rats, mice, guinea pigs etc.

We did this all out of our own pockets. The numbers may not be as much as other rescue organizations, but we are very proud of our efforts.

With help, we could do so much more.

Who needs a puppy? I have 5. 4 boys, 1 girl.

They are German Shepherd/chihuahua crosses. Yes, you read that right.

They are 11 weeks old.

The girl is wearing a pink bandana, the boys have other colors.

It is impossible to get good pictures of them. I tried. I tried and tried. So this is a video to show you how cute and happy they are.

They do have an adoption of 150. This goes to help pay for shots, worming etc. Call me. Text me. Just do not ask for more photos or I will cry.

This handsome young man was abandoned in the Walmart parking lot with his brother. We named him Paddington, and his brother Patootie. Both will be neutered this week. I would love to see them go to a home together. Neither are phased by our dogs, they have gotten along with all the other animals. They are roughly 5 months old. Sadly, 2 of the others that were dumped in the parking lot were not as lucky. We are just glad that someone saw the person that did this, and was able to grab these 2. One of our volunteers was getting groceries and heard her yelling for help. They took these 2, while the lady caught the other 2 still alive. They were so scared they hid under cars. The angel that saved them took 2 home, and our volunteer brought Paddington and Patootie out for help.

Don't do drastic things like this. All 6 could have been run over. Call or message and ask for help. We try hard to help each pet that needs a place to go, even if we cannot take them ourselves.

Anyway, Paddy and Patootie are just dolls. When they see you, they start making muffins and giving you side rolls, asking for attention. They are so sweet. They have been sleeping in bed with me and all my cats. They use the litter box and LOVE to eat. They will make wonderful companions for just about any home.

I would prefer they go as a pair, but we can split them if needed. Please contact if you are interested in meeting the boys.
