Well hello again everyone!

It's me RUFUS, black mouth cur and fixed, utd, house broken, crated at night, leash trained, and a few basic commands. My broken leg has healed and you can't even tell I was ran over chasing a truck in front of house. That was stupid and it cost lots of money at my Dr office.

Yep I'm back at foster moms after that family decided it was best for me to have more room and have more time for fun activities to keep me happy which keeps family happy.

Everyone here is getting worried that I can't find my forever home because I'm no longer a small puppy. But had to heal my leg. They have been networking me for over 8 months. Wish I could stay with Goose, Sunny, Eddy and Rosie but it's too too much for the house and have destroyed a few plants, shoes and cushions...I'm a puppy still. We are only staying here temporary until foster mom gets her own place.

I'm kinda high energy but I'm starting to listen to her more everyday and think she's gonna miss me when I'm finally adopted.

I'm 10 months old and need a place like a big fenced in yard or a ranch and other non aggressive friends my size. I'm curious of cats, squirrels, birds and don't mean to hurt them. But it's important for full disclosure.

***Please do research on Black Mouth Cur mix so you know that they really do make the best family pet you'll ever have....I PROMISE.

** I'm open to any rescues that can take him or any no kill shelters. I'm starting to get desperate and I don't like that feeling at all. Gives me major anxiety.

Update 6/29/24
Rufus is still available. Rufus is still a pup with high energy. Needs an active family. Rufus needs a playmate close to his age and size. No cats.

Update ; Rufus has a sleepover this Saturday. Looks like it's gonna turn out for Rufus after all. Hallelujah!!!

Rufus needs foster/adopter to help him. I currently have no place for him and I'm afraid of what will happen. Please help!!!

Hello again!! Rufus has healed very well after his leg was broken by a car in front of fosters home. He runs quite well and hasn't had any issues.

Rufus is a Black Mouth Cur, approx 7 months, neutered, utd on vaccines, crate trained and loves playing with other dogs. Loves the water and will play for hours with the hose on. Energy level is high but calms down fairly fast. The familyupdate
that has been fostering him can no longer keep him. So please share him....he needs a active family.

Rufus was left abandoned in Snook, Tx. in horrible conditions at 2 1/2 months old without water and food.

Please help me find a home for this playful handsome boy.

Ouch! Rufus will need surgery to repair his right leg. Also he broke a tooth which will need to be extracted. Estimated cost $1600-2900.

Looks like I'll be doing lots of research over the next few days.

For now he will be on strict bed rest with his pain meds.

Got a call from foster family this morning saying that Rufus decided to chase a car while playing with the others in the front yard.

He most likely schattered his right leg. Poor guy has been so good at letting me take care of his leg until he see's the vet. Gave him pain meds, wrapped his leg and he didn't flinch once. If he was showing signs of distress I'd be on my way, but Sunday after hours at the vet with a broken leg would be more than I can handle. Been there too many times over the years.

Rufus is in foster waiting to be adopted. We have chosen Mainstreet Vet Clinic in Bellville for evaluation. X-rays and office visit will be $186.00. Update on cost for surgery later. To help sponsor a small portion please call clinic at 979-865-3664.

Here are new photos of Shadow. She was dumped over a month ago. She's currently being fostered by a relative of the finder in Belleville.

Shadow, 18 months, has been doing great and adjusting. She's fully vetted now, spayed, utd on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative.

Shadow did great at the vet today. She was a little nervous but was still for shots, nail clip and f***l. Heartworm negative and will be spayed on Monday. Vet estimates 18 mos old and she has had a litter of pups.
She is a Belgian Malinois but looks so much like a German Shepherd. So far she acts like a puppy, likes to be active but likes to catch naps on these sunny days. Shadow is very smart, good around strangers, easy to please and could easily be someone’s best friend. We are working on her bad habit of wanting to hug you. She does well but when excited has to be reminded to stay down.
She doesn’t like the wire crate but sleeps alone in the utility room every night without whining or throwing a fit until we let her out at sunrise.
Hopefully she will gain some weight soon, still pretty skinny. Thanks, Martha

He is neutered!! Our ranch is in Somerville and we think between 4-6 but I don’t know. Yes he’s a pittie. We are keeping him separate from my girls for now and trying to keep him for a week or two to see if his owners can be found 🤷🏻‍♀️

Does anyone recognize this girl? She was picked up on the side of road off OSR on Saturday.

Surely owners are missing her and she is lost. She was thin and very hungry.

She's currently staying in North Zulich with my friend's grandson hoping to locate owner.

I'd like to help this young cat out and find her a loving home. She's been left behind after owner went to jail 7 months ago. She's the only survivor left that the dogs haven't gotten ahold of.

People in the area have been feeding her but sure would be nice if she could find a safer place.

Penny is approx 8 months old and has had no vetting. She needs to be spayed asap. Very loving and gentle considering.

Many orphans can be left a few hours to see if mom comes back...NOT OPOSSUMS! If you see a baby like this one in a yard or anywhere, get it quickly in a little box or pet carrier with a blanket and keep warm and call a wild life rescue. Momma opossum can have up to 13 babies. As they grow, they don't all fit in the pouch so they ride on her back. If something startles her and she runs, one can fall off. Momma doesn't know she lost one so please never ever leave one thinking mom will come back...

Needing a foster or rescue to help. Currently in Cat Springs in temporary foster of finder. Sweet girl. Foster will be getting her vaccines and chipped soon.

This beautiful girl was abandoned/dumped in Bellville.a few days ago. A homeowner was outside and saw a white truck speed off leaving her behind.

Poor thing was skinny and skittish. She has warmed up and now follows finder around.

Is there anyone out there that has experience with German Shepherds or any rescues that can help find him a home.

Update
Poor Rufus has had ZERO interest and he's 6 months now 40 pounds.

Rufus is now 5 months old, neutered, utd on vaccines and free of parasites. Rufus is a Black Mouth Cur, weighs 35 pounds, quick learner, crate train and housebroken. He puts himself to sleep in his crate at night. Plays well with others, kid friendly, LOVES the water, fetches and good on leash. Have not cat tested but he doesn't seem to bother the neighbors cats.

He is great at letting you know when someone drives up. Energy level is high at first when excited, but calms down fairly fast. Great recall.

I have enjoyed watching him grow and grow. Not sure if he'll reach 80 pounds but I'm guessing there's a good possibility when he gets to adulthood. BIG eater...treat driven.

Please share Rufus and help him get adopted.......He's ready. Since Rufus is still a little mouthy and jumps up...I recommend a family with older kids.

Need help finding a home after her owner passed away. There were 4 left behind and 3 have found homes.

Sophie, Female, maybe 8-9 years old. Not sure about breed. Not aggressive, she's good around kids, loves to play outside but also very happy cuddling inside, treat motivated.

Hey it's Rufus again. Approx 5 month Black Mouth Cur, male, crate trained, quick learner, energy level....puppy. Great recall.

We need help finding him a home or a rescue to take over. There has been zero interest and he still needs to be vetted. He has received his parvo distemper vaccine and dewormed.

Funds are low since we started back for only a few months. Thanks to our rescue family for keeping us going. Hard for me to walk away....but want to still help in small doses.
Rufus just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

Rufus is still waiting on a family. Left abandoned in a horrific living conditions for days without food/water and would not be here today had I not found him. Lucky lucky boy.

Rufus has touched our hearts and he will yours too. Super friendly and smart. Knows his name, great recall and almost housebroken. Plays great with everyone. Crate trained. Energy level - Puppy!!

Pup update

Remember Cash and Naomi. City workers found them while looking at a illegal dump area on back roads by switchblade near feed store. They immediately called me for help and I was out the door.

They were so skinny....could barely stand. Both stayed at the vet for a week.

Look at them now...3 years later living their best life in Seattle Washington.

Rufus was living in horrific conditions without water and food when owner moved. I had to go get him a few days ago.

No history, but guessing 4 1/2 months old, Black Mouth Cur mix breed. I have dewormed him and given him a puppy shot. Super friendly, great with everyone here.
