Young Palomino Stud + Adult Bay Gelding

Both have been caught and are currently under our care.
Animal Control and Ventura County Sheriffs have been notified.
Please let us know if you recognize these boys so we can get them home safe!

UPDATE OWNERS FOUND. These two were running loose around on Donlon Rd. They are currently at our hospital. Please call the office if they are yours. Animal control is being notified as well, sadly, we can’t house them at the hospital.

Please help us welcome our new Intern Dr.Blanca Chen!

Blanca was born and raised in Taiwan and has always had a passion for horses. Growing up she rode in both the jumping and dressage rings.
She obtained her DVM degree at National Taiwan University in 2022. After graduation, she decided to come to the United States to pursue advanced training in equine medicine. She completed her PAVE program training with a clinical year at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine.
Her interests include equine neonatology, neurology, and all aspects of internal medicine. She hopes to pursue a large animal internal medicine residency in the future.
During her free time, she likes to play tennis and travel, both within the US and to other countries. She also hopes to be back in the saddle one day!

You will most likely meet her on your next visit to the hospital and we hope you will give her a warm welcome as she learns the ropes here at HGAE!

Humphrey Giacopuzzi & Associates Equine Hospital is a full-service equine facility that has been open for over 35 years. We provide primary and referral veterinary services to Ventura and the surrounding counties. The scope of our services include surgery, ambulatory ranch calls, lameness and performance exams, equine reproduction, internal medicine, critical care, imaging/diagnostics, pre-purchase exams and dentistry. We also offer advanced therapies such as shockwave, IRAP, PRP and Pro-Stride. Our facilities include an equine surgical suite with recovery room, neonatal intensive care unit, fully equipped Select Breeders Affiliate Lab reproductive facility and a fully staffed barn for intensive care patients 24 hours a day.

Humphrey Giacopuzzi & Associates Equine Hospital is looking to add a fun, friendly and caring person to our front office team. Knowledge of equine and experience with veterinary medicine is highly recommended.

📝Applicants must have good communication skills, both verbally and written, and have computer skills with Microsoft Applications. You must be able to work as a team player and independently. Must be self-motivated, be able to multitask in a high volume and fast-paced atmosphere for a practice with six doctors.

Erin Elder, DVM

Dr. Erin grew up in Santa Barbara, California, and attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for her undergraduate degree in Animal Science. She then went to St. Kitts and Nevis for veterinary school at Ross University. Her first internships were in equine private equine in Alberta, and then an academic large animal medicine internship at the University of Minnesota. She finally completed her residency program at North Carolina State University in equine internal medicine. Dr. Erin enjoys snowboarding and spending time at the beach in her free time.
