"Pushing Water" will now be available as an open edition print. These prints will be signed and dated and the image size will be 16" x 20". There will be 40 available in this run.

Artist Kelly Kadlec recently completed this painting of Reiko. This image was inspired from a photograph captured the day our girl earned her Field Championship title by Gary Abbot, a talented artist on his own right.

All done. I showed this to my brother and he chuckled and said that this guy was “pushing water”. I like that. Thank you Gary Abbott for the photo reference!

Introducing “Sparks A Fly’n MH”

Sparky passed her 6th AKC Master Hunter test this past weekend in McCall, Idaho. This titles Sparky and qualifies her for the AKC Master National this year in Cheraw, SC.

After finishing her field trail derby career with 8 points, which included one win, Sparky began running MASTER stakes with Trainer/Handler Brooke VandeBrake Jr. At just 2 yrs of age Sparky now has 5 Master passes and is poised to achieve her MASTER HUNTER title and qualify for this fall’s Master National Hunt Test!

What a great weekend in Corning California for us. Bill Sargenti handled Reiko to her second open win which completes her field champion (FC) title. A special thanks also to Vern Cooney and Gary Ahlgren for donating their time as judges as well as the whole gang from the Sacramento Valley Retriever Club for organizing the event.

And, as an added bonus, a photo session at Jellys Ferry with Gary Abbot of Nomadic Retrievers created some memorable images that I will savor forever.
