Finally finished the background on the 2nd - 6x2x2 ft enclosure & I think it looks nice!😬 I made dividers to split the enclosures & make juvie grow outs…. The white sealant around the edges of the blue backgrounds will dry clear within a week 😉

I am going to experiment with making hides next…

I’m trying to decide on colors to use on the next background, which will be 4x2x4’s…? Actually I’m not even sure what I’ll put in them yet 😂

I added a male hatchling blue barons racer from a blue x blue pairing to MorphMarket…. He will probably be the last one I offer from this season. I honestly don’t mind keeping him, but I have a handful just like him… No females are available

Baroni are rear fanged venomous, but generally considered not dangerous to humans. Care should be taken when handling.

I added a few more nice hogs to MorphMarket including a Mai Tai (probable rbe pastel) conda, purple line, albino conda, and super Conda, super Arctic Conda, and super condas, etc…

My last shipping day of this year will probably be either the 29th or 30th of October. After that, it’ll probably be only local pick up and cash.

One of my adult females hanging out. 😬 No editing done or needed…

I’m in the process of upgrading all my adults colubrids into different enclosures with more space length & vertically… I’m experimenting with making bamboo and hardwood climbing areas, hides on different levels, and custom backgrounds… Pics to come…

It’s probably not the wisest move production wise to switch enclosures right before brumation 🤷🏻‍♂️ oh, well… 😜

It’s starting to get some reddish color on it’s neck 😬 I can’t wait to see it in a year or two 😉

It’s amazing to see the gradual color change in these as they grow! It’s already a nice aqua blue color in person 😬 I can’t wait to see them in a year or two 😉

These are going to be great to look back at after a year or two! 😉

I’m missing a pic of it after the 2nd shed 🤷🏻‍♂️ It was during hatching season & I was slammed with work… It’s a lot easier to keep up now that most of the hatchlings found homes.

The indecision on LED lights goes on…

Any LED suggestion that give close to daylight colors are welcomed…

After a ton of research & help from my beautiful wife Joni, I have found that the higher the CRI number is, the closer to natural daylight colors. Natural daylight coloring is what I would ideally have…

Waveform 95 CRI LED’s bring out very nice coloring that is extremely close to natural shaded light…. The downside to them is they cannot be dimmed & they are super bright! It’s like noon day sun in direct light bright, which is not ideal for shade dwellers… The snakes under those lights seem to be out less often, which I’m contributing to the brightness…

I have tried a variety of LEDs & the next closest are just the Reptile Basics strip LEDs. They don’t have nearly as close to daylight color, but the brightness is much more conducive to what I keep…

I just added roof mounted hides for my adult ridleyi & they are diggin it!
