Check out Winnie showing us that training is all about working with our dogs and finding out what works for them! In this video we were practicing Winnieâs âdownâ command and then trying to teach her how to âcrawl.â During the process Winnie decided sheâd rather show us she would rather us teach her how to âbowâ which she seemed to really enjoy doing! Training is about having fun with our dogs and also about finding out what they want to learn as well and which commands they seem to enjoy! Some of our dogs best tricks are stumbled upon by accident and rather than getting frustrated with it, we can have a good laugh and get excited and learn from our dogs!
Check out Gracie, learning her âspinâ command! This cue is learned in week 5 of puppy class and is one of many commands that Gracie has learned while being with us! This one seemed to come naturally to her as she also loves to do a sit pretty!
Check out Jaxon showing off his new trick, âpawâ or âshakeâ! Jaxson learned this in week 5 of puppy class! This is just one command out of many that Jaxson has learned so far. It seems to be his new favorite one and he sure is cute doing it!
Check out Kasie showing off her object recognition cue! In brain games class we taught these guys how to identify three different toys of theirs. For our last class we introduced the fourth object but a little differently! Instead of teaching them the name of the new object we had them do process of elimination to learn the fourth object! This is Kasie identifying the new item which was the tenis ball! She was able to figure it out since she was taught the other three objects!

But we are so proud to say with hardwork and practice Stitch has achieved his âDownâ command and we couldnt be more excited! Check ou Luke learning an âenvironmental cueâ command. An environmental cue command is when a natural occurring signal (like a knock at the door) cues your dog to do a command without us having to be there or tell Luke what to do! In this video look is hearing a knock at the door and then putting himself on his bed (place command) !

Luke has taken our beginner and intermediate level training and did so well that his parents decided to enroll him in our braingames course for some challenging tricks and puzzles!
Our bucket game is a way of getting our dogs consent when it comes to certain things like brushing, nail trims, affection and much more! By Luke staring at the bucket while mom tries to pet him is Lukes way of telling us he doesnt mind the affection. If Luke where to look away from the bucket while mom was pettin him this would be his way of telling us âno, not right now.â
