Forgot to post about North America Diving Dogs - Northeast Regionals regionals September 8-10th ....
Torque qualified for Regionals in all three disciplines, Eilidh in Distance and AR.
Torque ended up placing 2nd in Hydro Dash and 3rd in Air Retrieve. Eilidh didnt place but ended up 8th in Distance and 7th in AR in her divisions. She is finally getting more confident!
Both Torque and Eilidh ended up earning an invites to Nationals. Torque earned his AR and HD invite from placements at Regionals. Eilidh earned her invite for distance by placing in the top 25. Fun weekend!

Capturing is a technique where the animal spontaneously preforms the behaviour and we reinforce directly. We capture the behaviour by making it occur more often to then add a signal to it. Capturing is a quick way of conditioning new behaviours with the animals you are working with

Today Torque and Eilidh were entered in a AKC Scent Work trial. Torque was entered in interior and buried. I false alerted in the interior search but he got 4th place in the buried search. Eilidh was entered in exterior and containers. She placed 4th in exterior and was #8 in containers. Fun day
Saturday Torque was entered in the National Association of Canine Scent Work trial in Ashby, MA. We had a great day. There was a total of 5 searches. He only found 4 out of the 5 so didn’t get his title. The vehicle search he ran out of time. He did receive Pronounced in his Exterior and Container #2 so very happy with that.

Great day at the Lucky Dog Events USCSS All Level Variable Trial + Games both Torque, (in intermediate) and Eilidh, (in novice) were entered in Interior, Exterior, Container and Heap O Hides. Each qualified in 3 out of 4. Torque ended up with 1st in Exteriors and Heap O Hides, 4th in container, I didn’t let him search long enough for the interior search and false alerted. Eilidh qualified in Containers, Interior and earned her Interior novice title, should have trusted her in the exterior search. She also played in Heap O Hides, for fun and found all 6 hides.
