Snake day!
We just got in these nine beautiful baby diffused albino corn snakes (pictured left)

These little guys are great eaters already and they each have their own individual little personalities!
These little snakes hatched on 7/21, so they are a little too young to s*x, their names are as follows: Katelyn, Kaitlyn, Caitlyn, Kaytlin, Catelyn, Katie, Kaitlin, Quétlyn, and Jerome (pronounced “Katelyn”) and they are all nicknamed “Kate”

Their parents were actually both adopted from Critters in 2023! The parents’ names are Ninja (Diffused) and Blanca (Albino, formerly known as Blanco) and they will be at the store Sunday, September 8 from 12-1:30 for a meet and greet to see just how sweet they are!
These snakes stood out to us and we remember them. When Blanca arrived to Critters she was very overweight (yes, fat snakes exist), as we believe the previous owners were feeding her for sport. Ninja was an uncommon and interesting color morph and was quite long for a corn snake. A trait that both of these snakes share is how sweet they are, and their offspring definitely isn’t missing this trait!

We aren’t just an animal rescue, we rescue plants too! This white bird of paradise was found on the side of the road on garbage day and is now making a new leaf! This Yucca tree was given to us by a former employee who was moving and was unable to take it with.

Today’s Animal Spotlight:

This is “Kora,” one of our two Giant Crimson Day Geckos. The others gecko’s name is “Juicebox.” This type of gecko is commonly seen in the form of the Geico Gecko. These fun little lizards are super active and make for wonderful pets to watch!

We proudly offer Pangea Gecko diet, which is the most often recommended gecko diet.

Today is all about our little rodent friends here at Critters!

Today we are featuring these little rat babies named “Patch” (left Patchwork male) and “Teriyaki” (right Dumbo Rex female). Rats can make amazing social dog-like pets for kids or adults! Male and female rats make for completely different pets; female rats are more playful, whereas males are more snuggly; these little rats have quite a bit of fun and love packed into their little bodies!

This group of rats are the last batch of rats bred by a former employee, Zach, as he will be moving (if you don’t remember how amazing his rats are, they are definitely worth taking a look at). Stop and meet them before they all get adopted!

This is no world to raise a baby in!
Critters mouse mamas have been hard at work.
Here is a sneak peak at some of these upcoming little fur babies.
The first photo shows a few litters of African Soft Fur mice (ASF’s) with their protecting mama to the left. These little critters make great pets for someone looking for a smaller rat-like pet, someone looking for smaller cage requirements, or as a friendlier mouse-like pet option. Also to you snake people they also are a great option for picky eaters (that means you ball python people!) or as a buffer size between a large mouse and small rat.
The second photo shows a couple litters of fancy mice, including a litter that was born yesterday! Fancy mice make great first pets and can help your kids learn responsibility while having fun caring for these active critters.

Animal Spotlight!
This is Grogu and his friend Blue! They are marsupials known as sugar gliders. They have unique coloring and patterning that makes them leusistic platinum sugar gliders. These guys are 2 and four years old (they can live up to fifteen years!)
We have recently acquired them from a home who no longer had the time to care for them.

These loving animals need lots of devoted attention every day (around 2 hours a day) they need a sizable enclosure with lots of stimulation, as they like to move around quite a bit at night time and can actually glide up to 165 feet in the wild. because they are nocturnal. They originate from areas surrounding Papua New Guinea and Australia where they eat live bugs and fresh fruits and veggies every day along with some seeds and sprays for their foraging needs.

We are trying to find them a proper home that can give them the attention that they need and deserve.
Any possible adopters must provide proof or purchase of proper enclosure
