Today Gizmo and I worked on rear end awareness.
Only took him a couple minutes to get this down.
The benefits for rear end awareness: Dogs with good rear-end awareness can: Navigate obstacles, Maintain balance on narrow ledges, Perform precise movements, and Avoid awkward landings and falls.

Brag post!

Proof my service dog don't have to be paying attention to alert to a seizure. I rather my dog be paying attention so I don't fall on my face but he needs to know where he's walking to. Check ins are great for it. Him jumping up and down isn't cuz I'm calling him goofy and being playful it's him actively alerting me.

Look very carefully at the first video. Gizmo is sniffing the air that's how he can tell I'm going to have a seizure. Second video he finally alerts so I don't fall on my face and seriously hurt myself!
Video is 4 seconds apart!

Was outside of school when this happend.

Went to Walmart yesterday with Gizmo my SERVICE DOG without any gear on or his prong on and he did absolutely amazing. I'm so beyond proud of him his growing and learning so fast. 🥺❤️

First picture was in a laundry mat and gizzy just laying down being a good boy. Second is a vid and he's trying to get my leg to stop shaking. Third one is him trying to get my arm to stop shaking as well. Fourth one is him laying in a very small stall because some people have no respect for disabled people and service dog handlers glad I trained gizzy how to do well with little space.

He dose absolutely amazing with his job and I'm beyond proud of him.

Been lacking on some training but we are getting there.. I'm getting my motivation back slowly but surely.. He's been so good so we got him ice cream yesterday I love him so much and don't ever wanna lose him.. 🥺❤️

Finally masterd the twirl without a lure I'm so proud of him and what he's becoming I love to see his glow up.

When I first got him he was so skittish cuz he was abused and then 3 months in when I have gave him everything he wanted and needed he barley flinched he loves everyone and almost every dog if they don't try and hump him then I had him trained he only new a cuple commands witch was sit, lay down, stay and how to walk on a leash only cuz I tought him that..

Now we are 5 months in and he knows alot more commands he knows more then 20 commands I am so proud to be his mom he now knows his human is always gonna be there for him to protect him to love him to feed and water him 💙 Gizmo is so loved by me I won't ever let anything happen to this little dude!

The last two dogs I had tought me a lesson always prepare for the worst but also prepare for the best as well!!!!!

He has a head hulter on cuz we are trying to get better focus with it on and he was stressed/nervous with it on so we are working on it he is also now playing with it on for now to make him think like oh this isn't such a bad thing after all and to put in his head this is fun to have on basically.....

Besides that Gizmo has really been surprising me lately with how well he's behaving and how spot on his alerts are I'm so proud of him he tought me alot just like I tought him alot I love him so much he's my baby!❤

Little side note to people who take there dogs to the beach and take them of leashes without a solid recall.
What are you doing like literally what the hell are you doing leash your dogs train them a solid recall it's not hard I'm just saying idc if your dog is friendly for my safety and my dogs safety I'm kicking it I've done delt with dogs attacking my dogs or dog and FYI it's not gonna happen again I stand up for my dog so keep your dog on a leash thanks have a great day.

Let’s set the scene. This may become a bit sensitive for some, and I apologise in advance.

You’re out somewhere. You might be at a restaurant, a bar, a public park on a sunny day enjoying the sunshine with your family. It may be that you’re on your way home from work or trying to catch the bus. You’re just minding your own business.

Suddenly, a person comes straight up to you. They give you anxiety. What is this person going to do? I don’t know! The person is walking with a friend and the friend sees you’re a bit anxious and calls out to you saying “Don’t stress, she/he’s all good!’’ But they keep approaching you. And when they finally reach you they randomly hug you. Touch you. Walk circles around you. Start talking to you. Don’t let you leave.

What would you call that? Harassment? Assault in severe cases?
How would this make you feel?

Now, after the initial shock you find your courage and you ask the person to go away. Leave you alone. But the person doesn’t stop and instead touches your arm or your hair. “Oh come on, we’re alright. I’m not doing anything bad I’m friendly! Just let me be around you.’ You get upset and might push the person. Shout at them. If you’re a bit more of an assertive person you might punch them. Who knows.
Then the person and the friend get upset. Well? WHY are you here then? What are you doing in this public space if you don’t like being around other people? You have no business to be here, minding your own business in this park with your family without allowing me to sit with you, play with you, touch you, talk to you. Actually, you know what you should do? You should be more social! You should go more often to random groups of people.

If you thought any of the above situation is not okay (and I sure as heck hope you do), then why do we think it’s okay to let dogs run up to strange dogs and say ‘It’s okay he’s friendly’?

What we do in the dog world is the exact opposite what we should be doing. We label the harassed dog as aggressive and the harassing dog as the victim.

Dogs have emotions. They have feelings. They have their own characters and personalities. There are many, many dogs that are not interested in making new friends or being with dogs they don’t know they can trust.

And sure, some dogs love playing with other dogs. Those are the extraverted dogs. Just like we have people that LOVE hugging or love making new friends even as adults, but to be honest.. how many of those people do you know? I think if you put it into a % its lower than the people that rather just are with their select group of people and be left alone by random strangers in public spaces.

So don’t assume the dog your dog is running towards on the beach, is willing to play with your dog. Being in a public space means you need to have your dog under effective control. And if you can’t call your dog back, it should be on a long line until you can.

Gizmo got trained how to throw something in the air and catch it there's one video of him doing that and the other two are from going to Walmart today he's increasing in his training and I'm so proud of him. 🥺🙏🥰

Working on basic recall again with Gizmo he's doing an amazing job...

All you really need is a very very long leash or connect a bunch of leashes together then you will need treats or your dog's favorite thing like a toy food and their food anything above that..

What you want to do after that is let them do their own thing for a minute then say whatever their name is come and if they don't come get them a little correction which is not yanking them to the ground guys and girls it is simply just a little tug and when they come to you give them a yes and give them what they love the most whether it's affection food toys it doesn't matter give them what they want and then work with them on that your dog truly needs a solid recall especially when you take your dog to beaches or dog parks or anywhere off leash if your dog dose not have a solid recall don't take your dog of leash!!!

Gizmo has a FREE command so he knows he can go infront of me as long as he stays where I can see him
he's good!!!

Last night Gizmo learned kennel only did this because it was light work and he loves being trained he loves having a job to do even if that means learning kennel little side note he hates the kennel..

Last week Gizmo went to Walmart with me to get some groceries.

Am I in the wrong here?

He did so awesome I had one guys talk to him I said no please don't you will distract him and he's working he stopped walked away came back started petting him I'm like sir stop I told you once you can't talk to him or distract him what makes you think you can pet my dog Gizmo tried alerting me to being angry and nervous he stopped him from doing that and he growled at him he stopped petting him and said that's an aggressive dog it can't be in the store to then I said I told you he was working and you stopped him from doing his job that he loves doing mind you it wasn't an aggressive growl but it was enough for him to back tf off he didn't bother us since just followed us..

Gizmo did a pretty damn good job!!

When a training session don't go the way you wanted it to go don't be mad at yourself or your dog yes you could have done this or that better but now it's all in your past not your future don't beat yourself or your dog up over mistakes in life it happens it just proves you are human!

Gizmo has been acting up chewing on my shoes and everything besides his toys I realized he gets bored very easy I will not hit him for it I will directly say look what you did that is a NO gizmo is a really sensitive dog he was abused all the time so I wanna change his life around with an owner who doesn't hit him who is just Stern with him as you can tell in the video!!

Went to a family gathering and gizmo did so awesome he alerted once for me being nervous and once for when I was gonna cry he did deep pressure therapy for both!

Overall he did an amazing job with focusing on me and ignoring the kids and people that where there trying to distract him i told them not and they kept doing it so I told them distracting a service dog or service dog in training is illegal af and if they don't want to go to jail stop distracting my sdit not to the kids to the grown adults that knew better as for the kids they listened the first time witch is very sad that the kids can listen way better then the grown adults!!

Gizmo overall dose awesome with everyone but he has a job and loves his job so there for everyone needs to back off and allow him to do it I'm also talking about the ones I'm closest to!!

To you need to eat more darling to your really gonna eat all of that its gonna make you fat... **please just make up your damn mind**!!

To hey sweetie why aren't you eating your dinner to your eating to much... **I ate what you gave me cuz you told me I wasn't getting up off my chair till I got done with my food please just make up your mind**!!!

To sweetie dinners done to me yelling back I'm not hungry and getting yelled at when I don't eat.. **I'm so confused why do you do this to me**?

To what's wrong sweetie your getting super skinny are you on drugs? Do you need mental help? **No I'm not on drugs**!! **And yes I do need mental help because of the s**t you put me thru**!!!!! Mind you I didn't say these things out loud just in my mind I didn't talk when she talked to me cuz I knew what would happen if I did...

To Madalyn this is getting out of hand your 40 pounds and when you eat you can't keep it down!! What's wrong? **Idk you tell me**..

To me being in the hospital for a cuple days cuz I fainted cuz I wasn't eating well doctors didn't do anything!!

To full blown arguments with my parent because she was blind towards her actions!! **Please just stop putting me thru this!!**

Go home to my mother worried about me cuz there blood all over my sleeves and pant legs to her trying to tell me to take my pants off to me having a complete and utter ptsd episode me yelling don't fu***ng touch me and if they did I'd hit em to me breaking down that I wasn't okay to my parent laughing at me and telling me to grow up!! **Please tell me what I did to deserve this**?

To me staying in my room all day wearing baggy clothes staying in bed on my phone or watching TV or even writing in my dairy or even cleaning my room!!

To me writing a su***de letter cuz my parent told me to go kms to my person not at the time but my person walking thru that door to me saying in my head I think I got a reason to be alive we talked for hours threw water bottles at each other I started it 😁 to us staying up past 3 in the morning talking to us a cuple months into being friends and getting to know each other being in a relationship and it's been an amazing journey with the love of my life ❤ he truly stepped in my life at the right time he saved me it's now been 2 years and 3 almost 4 months on the 25th with him and it's been the best we have had our ups and downs just like every relationship but it's been an awesome journey I hope it leads to more awesome things in our life!!!

To now I know my worth ik I have a body some girls wish for ik I'm beautiful and ik that your words will never knock me down again thank you for telling me all that stuff cuz now I'm stronger then that little girl you once called names!!

I'm only gonna say this one time and one time only keep your fu***ng dogs on a leash if gizmo or I get bit I'm fr peper spraying your dog and kicking it for my protection and my service dog in training protection!

Do I make myself clear?

Keep your dogs in your yard and if you can't do that since you guys are lazy keep your dog on a damn leash!

I'm tired of not being able to walk in either direction from my home my dog and I need exercise my dog needs it more then I do yes playing is basically like exercise but for a red heeler mixed with German Shepard needs more exercise like walking, running, hiking all of the above for a very active dog!!

My dog is very well trained and luckily knows how to center into a down stay and your dog is very lucky he backed off before he got peper sprayed I feel very bad but at the end of the day nobody's dog is gonna hurt me or my service dog in training so if you don't wsnt your dog peper sprayed or kicked keep them in your yard or keep then on a leash it's not hard train your dog! 🙄
