During the winter months you may choose to let your pet grow their coat to keep warm, this doesn't mean you should skip grooming though! In fact the opposite is true, they should come in regularly to have their coat cleaned and thoroughly brushed to help facilitate proper insulation from the weather and to keep painful mats from forming leading to all kind of possible problems. A lot of times it's a little less to just do a bath and brush with a "face, feet and sani," trim to keep Fido feeling fresh and comfy during the cooler months. Getting bigger every day! It is about time for me to get back to work... I am trying to get childcare arranged which seems to be the biggest hurdle. I am open to suggestions if you know someone reliable and experienced with young babies/toddlers. I am also considering hiring someone to work in the shop for receptionist/child care so I can bring the babies here so if anyone is interested in that as a position please reach out with a resumé, it would be probably for 30 to 40 hours a week and wages are negotiable. I will be posting another update when I have an official start date, as early as December 30th, as late as January 6th.

I made it to the world 🌎 on 11-08-2024, I'm 5lb 12oz and 18 inches long, a tiny little sweet pea. Still deciding on a name but wanted to say hello 👋 💙

About to get this party started.... baby has been getting closely monitored for restricted fetal growth and yesterday, an ultrasound indicated low amniotic fluid so doc said it's time to induce (original due date was Nov. 25th) This means I will be out of work for a bit, if you have an appointment then myself or Jessica Oulton with the Groom Room will be reaching out to get everyone rescheduled as expediently as possible. I will update when the little boy arrives 💙

Some of you may have noticed the bump I've got going on.. again .. this is truly my final baby (it's a boy!) Due Nov.25th. I am doing my best to work as close to the due date as I can and am hoping to have my bather able to offer at least bath services while I'm off for a bit, most likely will not be a long maternity leave as my personal situation has changed and won't necessarily allow for me to be gone as long.. There is also a minor complication that is being watched closely but *might* lead to an earlier delivery as a result I'm going to try and take it a little easier with big dogs and will be restrictive about new clients until after I have a better idea of my availability after baby is born. Thank you all so much for the continued support, I really can't fully express my gratitude to my amazing clients who allow me to continue doing what I love nearly every day I work. You all are the best and I will keep you all posted as things progress ❤️

Why cat grooming is more expensive than dog grooming.... got this at work yesterday while grooming a fluffy boy. Cats bites are typically an automatic trip to the E.R. or urgent care (which usually means losing some amount of income/time off work) because they can become infected very easily. I'm usually pretty good at reading the signals but this guy was fine one second and decided he was done the next with no real indicators. It's all part of the job unfortunately, but if you ever wondered why it cost more for your cat than it does for a dog around the same size the risk of injury is definitely a factor and it's why not all groomers will work with cats.

I love her smile! Such a sweet pup, she lives in Texas but I get to see her when her humans come to town to visit family and it makes me so happy to get to work with such a sweet, cute and good girl ❤️

Such a beautiful girl! I am once again behind on returning messages and am playing catch up! If you haven't heard from me by tomorrow evening and still need an appointment please reach out again, I am pretty booked this week and almost booked for next week. I may need to close the books to new clients again for a little bit, I will also be hiring soon for an experienced groomer if you know anyone interested have them reach out!
