Labor Day weekend Katahdin adventure. We stayed at the New England Outdoor Center on Millinocket lake. It was absolutely perfect! Saturday the 2nd we hiked to Chimney Pond from Roaring Brook. Then onto the Dudley trail to summit Pamola. The plan was to continue on to the knife edge to Baxter Peak but had to change direction due to time and wind gusts. We descended Pamola by way of the Helon trail. Such an amazing experience full of all sorts of emotions. I’m coming back next year Katahdin to Summit Baxter Peak cross knife edge and back down Helon.
