I know I’ve been in contact with some of you who have reached out to schedule but I wanted to let you know that I’ve been delayed. I was gearing up to start scheduling and even got through a couple trial run days a couple weeks ago but my old van had other plans. She has been in the shop now hopefully getting tuned up! 🤞🏼
If you haven’t heard from me yet please bear with me while we get through this rocky start.
If you’re one of the few I have scheduled already before this, I’ll keep you posted if your appointment may need to change.
I’ll let everyone else know when I can schedule asap!

Hello!! Oh my! I just realized my post never got posted here back In October so if you aren’t also on Facebook you all missed my announcement! Miss Lydia was born October 17th!! We are doing well just soaking up all of the snuggles and time at home together 🥰
If you’ve tried to reach me by phone I’ve been radio silent but I will be getting back to everyone soon as I prepare to come back to work in January!

If you have tried to get in touch with me lately and I haven’t responded… this is why! We’ve had a whirlwind of the last couple weeks to say the least but… She’s here!!!
We welcomed our newest assistant to the chaos on Monday evening!! We just got home last night and mom and baby are doing well and adjusting 😀
I will be returning messages as soon as we get more settled and I get in some baby snuggles while I heal after my csection so thank you for your patience and love!

Well folks it’s another 🚨announcement🚨
Time!! It’s been quiet around here but won’t be for long.. we’ve been brewing something up and…. it’s a human! A little girl will be added to our family this fall!
I’ve been trying to tell as many of my clients as I could recently but it’s time to make the big announcement for everyone I haven’t been able to tell yet..
So this means I will be taking time off October through the end of the year to spend time with my new little babe💜

Thank you to everyone who has shown such support for my little business and my family!!

Hello 2022!!! 🌟💟
Can you believe we are already a month and a half
Into this new year?? With this new year comes new announcements!
💟 I had to make the difficult decision to stop taking new clients this year. It’s a weird thing for me to say but I am booking months in advance and need to focus on figuring out my current schedule. There is a small wait list forming though!
💟 prices will be increasing! I have already increased some slightly but as I navigate a new year and rising gas prices along with increased prices in multiple other things lately in this world, I must raise mine.. thank you for understanding!
💟💟and lastly for now.. THANK YOU all for your support in my new business in the last 9 months! May will mark a whole years since buying my van and starting this journey but I wouldn’t be anywhere without all of you!!! 🌟

Random fact about me: when I was in middle school I decided to spend time online researching dog breeds.. I wanted to know all of them, and everything about them. (That should have been a lightbulb that I would end up working with dogs somehow! Haha)

I printed out pages of each breed on the AKC list and studied them. This was probably 22 years ago. Since then we have acknowledged and “invented” tons more breeds… BUT when I first started learning about breeds over 20 years ago the Bernese mountain dog caught my eye. I was obsessed. I had never met one in real life at that point but KNEW I would own one some day… I still don’t have my Bernese but man do I still love them.. this is Flash, one of only a couple I groom. I’ve known him since the salon days and he’s just the best.
They are just such beautiful, amazing dogs, more people should own one.. one day I will!!! 🥰

I’ve been MIA! 🐾✂️
Phew this summer flew by, didn’t it??
You all have been keeping me busy which I’m so grateful for still!! Then I went on a much needed family vacation to our favorite Carolina beach. Then came back to school time! My kids went back Monday. It’s only day 2 but it’s been rough getting into a new routine again. Waking up even earlier being one hurdle haha 😴I promise I’ll be back to posting more! I have a whole camera roll full of cute doggies I’d love to share!
This is Maggie, she is the sweetest old lady but doesn’t look at day over 2. She ages so gracefully that’s for sure!

These sisters are a hoot and I absolutely love seeing them for their spa days! I’ve known Lola (Shih mix) for years now and even though her mom says she’s got an attitude, I have admitted to her that Lola is my favorite out of the two 😂😉. Both girls are perfect though!! 💜

Pongo and Charlie! 💥
Pongo and I have a very special relationship haha he did not like crates in my old salon so he acted a bit like Cujo trying to coax him out, but once he’s free he’s the happiest, easy going, sweetest dog!! He’s LOVING being groomed in the van now, no more crates!!
Then came along his brother Charlie! Charlie is just the sweetest thing with a little anxiety mixed in haha can you believe they are the same breed? 😂
both are still high on my list of favorites of course!! 🥰 I love these boys 🥰

The other day I had the PLEASURE of grooming this boy! A 6 month old Chinese Crested that is so hard to come by, a rare breed to see! I was so excited to meet him and he was overly excited to meet me haha he was definitely an adventure but I absolutely look forward to seeing him again and building our relationship! Just look at this handsome boy! Also, check out that mullet 😉😂

One of my favorite things is being able to groom a friends dog. Muksa belongs to a high school friend who I’ve now gotten so watch go from one dog to 2 dogs, to one baby to 2 babies and I just LOVE getting to watch families grow!
I think Mr. Muska needs to be one of my spokes models 😂 he just looks like he’s posing and showing off! 😍

(Please tell me you get that reference! 😉) literally my favorite movie and the only Zero I’ve met yet! Come on people I can’t believe I haven’t named any of my dogs Zero yet… 🤔 might be time for an addition 😂

Well anyway, I posted about Terp and now there’s Zero! I take it as a good sign that these pups fall asleep while I sculpt and scissor their face haha
I just love this sweet boy and I was so happy to see him again today!

He’s back!! If you’ve been over to my Instagram you’ve seen this sleepy head before! I had the pleasure of seeing him again the other day and once again he felt so comfy with me that he couldn’t keep his sweet eyes open💤 spa days are supposed to be relaxing after all!

I figured I should do an introduction post!
Some of you might have known me for years, some of you might be brand new. So I wanted to just tell a few random facts about me!
🌷my name is Jessica Smith
🌷I’ve been grooming for just about 15 years all in Loudoun county.
🌷I was married on Friday the 13th!
🌷I have 4 kids... 12yr old son, 9.5 year old twin girls, and my 1 year old son.
🌷some of you have met my 1 year old, he’s already a groomer in training! He tags along with me sometimes and he loves meeting all of our new friends and doggie friends!
🌷my twins are identical and special needs. One has Cerebral Palsy and is in a pretty sweet purple wheel chair, while her sister is developmentally delayed and “medically different” but they are our light!!
🌷right now I have 2 dogs and 2 cats
🌷both of our dogs are named after other species Bunny and Cricket 😂🤷🏼‍♀️
🌷yes, I now reside in WV! But that’s ok! My “hometown” in LoCo!
🌷I graduated from Stone Bridge HS! (‘04😬😂)
🌷I enjoy spending time off adventuring around trying out new wineries and breweries in the area.
🌷I love meeting and getting to know all of you and your pets! 🥰

My girl! Mila! When I say I love this dog, I mean I LOVE this dog! She is seriously the best behaved little poodle! She has such a personality, I can just picture her human-like conversations she would have with me as if we were at a hair salon while she sits in the salon chair gossiping about her life 😂 I love getting to see her every month!!
