Sweet Miss Gossip blessed us with 6 little ones this morning. Momma is doing amazing and all the little ones seem to be doing well. 🤍

Well well well…

I woke up this morning going to check on the few babes I still have left and Gossip decided to let me know she’s not quite ready to leave our Rabbitry yet… 🤍

This morning Gossip gave Birth to 6 beautiful and healthy babies. It’s been well over 35 days since her last breeding so we are shocked she carried this long! 🐰

This is Wild Wheats first bloodline… I am beyond happy and thankful.

DOB: 8/5 Dam:Gossip Sire:Commander.

It completely breaks my heart and saddens me to announce I must take a step back from my Rabbitry. Some unexpected things have occurred that leave me no choice but to part ways with them.

Spaying & Neutering your rabbits it’s soooo beneficial! You can help ensure a lower risk of reproductive cancers & help get rid of messy litter box habits!

The average cost to spay or neuter in our area for a rabbit is $100-$200.

Spaying and neutering also allow you to bond your rabbit with another and ensure no unwanted pregnancy!

Sage aka Floppsy is such a sweet girl. Originally I got her for my VM program but have decided to part ways with her and not include her into my program.

This girl is so sweet and really deserves to be in a pet home. 🤍 She is housed indoors in a xpen/dog play pen. Everytime I come in the room this sweet girl is the first to run up to me! She lovesss treats! 🤍 She has the sweetest personality & would make such a wonderful companion! 🤍

She can also go as brood quality, she does come with her pedigree. She has never been bred.

Lol everyone knows Torts are notorious for having some of the best show builds right off the bat, I’ll be using him in the future for my show litters.

• Our Journey with Miss Clover has come to an end! This little girl went to her forever home this morning & I couldn’t be anymore happier about who adopted this baby girl! He’s gotten two other rabbits from me and has such a huge heart for these animals just like I! Sweet clover girl has made an AMAZING recovery!

If there’s one thing I love, it’s helping these animals. This little girl went from being abandoned and lost in someone’s back yard to now thriving and living her best, and healthiest little bun life! We love you miss Clover & are so happy we could help you on your journey in life! 🥰 •

Clover is doing fantastic! This little girl has a sassy side to her. 😆 But she really is so sweet at the same time. She doesn’t mind being held, and is such a little piglet lol! She is really coming around! I am so proud of her and how fast she’s bouncing back! 🖤

•update on our little rescue girl! 🫶🏼

🐰This little Dutch rabbit kit is doing well! She’s eating and drinking normally. Her bowl movements are looking good. Ive treated all her tick sites. She’s got good looking teeth. I’ve checked her over since starting meds and noticed she has a little eye infection going on and started some vetericyn so hopefully I can nip that in the butt as well. Oh and bonus! She’s already using her litter box pretty decently! 🤩

Since this baby girl is around 8 weeks old she’s too young to be spayed. I swear pictures make her look much bigger than she is. With that being said I’m anticipating her to be ready for adoption in 2 weeks or so! ❤️ Stay tuned to see when she will be available for adopting! •

•After chasing this little rascal for almost two weeks we finally got her!!! 🖤

Big shout out to Miss Pat, Bailee, & her dad! With out you guys there is no telling what the situation might be for this little one! Also thank you for not just leaving this little one to fend for itself on its own.

This girl is around 8 weeks old and was covered in ticks. We’ve got her back at home quarantined, getting some fluids, flea meds, and deworming her. She definitely needs a little TLC. 🖤 name suggestions anyone? So far I like Lilah!•

The prickliest bun you ever did see! 🦔 Okay no, she’s actually an African Pygmy Hedgehog! Within the past year, the person who posted this girl on Facebook was working in Florida and found this sweet girl behind a dumpster at her work. She kept her until she could no longer. She did fatten her up a bit and take her to the vet when she was found.

Miss Prim is a recent rescue that we took in a few weeks ago! I absolutely love this girl! •

‼️‼️PSA! 🚨If you find yourself unable to care for/ or no longer “want” your bunny, DO NOT RELEASE THEM OUTSIDE!!! ‼️‼️

Domestic rabbits and wild rabbits are completely different. Generations of domestication have led Domestic rabbits to not posses wild traits and instincts; within days to a week this leads to death for the domesticated rabbit that was released outside! When you release a pet bunny you are setting it up to die!

Domestic rabbits when released outside are more likely to be attacked and hurt by a predator than a natural wild rabbit. They don’t have the instincts to protect themselves as well as a wild rabbit. Domestic bunnies immune systems are also unlike that of a wild rabbit. Meaning domestic rabbits can not tolerate surviving in the wild. Mites, flies, botflies, and fleas can all take over a rabbits body within days and cause disease, resulting in infection and death.

Domestic rabbits can not survive outside and substain nutrition the way a wild rabbit can, domestic rabbits digestive systems can not pull the same nutrients a wild rabbit can from plants they eat locally.

Meaning if you release a domestic rabbit you are opening them up to disease, predators, Illness, & starvation.

Please don’t just throw the rabbit out. You are guaranteeing their death. Their life matters, and remember you chose them, they didn’t choose you. Do not fail them, and do not mistake their life for something that can be thrown out and “disregarded”.

With this being said our Rabbitry takes in rabbits when we have space and proper housing. We are an indoor Rabbitry so space can be limited at times, however please never let that deter you from reaching out. If we can help, I assure you, we are glad too.
