And that's a wrap for the 2024 season ❤️

Thank you so much for another year at the farm! Your support means the world and allows us to keep operations going!

Also congrats to our fishing derby winners! Kinsley snagged the smallest fish prize, weighing in at 0.13lbs. Our member Ron caught the most fish at 47! Shorty (not pictured) wrangled in the biggest fish at 2.27lbs!

We hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season ❤️

In the meantime we'll keep everyone posted on hiring for next season along with official opening date.

🐟‼️ FISHING DERBY 2024 ‼️ 🐟

Saturday Nov 2nd - Sunday Nov 3rd
(11am-4pm)
Spanaway WA

All ages and skill levels welcome!

$5 admission on grounds (anyone 3 and older)
*regardless if you are fishing or not*

$3 pole rental (or bring your own gear!)
$5 per fish (any size -> all rainbow trout)
$0.50 cleaning fee for each fish (optional)

PRIZES:
After the weekend, there will be a prize pack for the smallest fish, biggest fish, and most fish caught. Each prize pack includes a new pole, reel, tackle box, powerbait, rooster tails, and the affiliated plaque. An Old McDebbie's Farm hat will also be included.

The "smallest" and "biggest" fish prize pack each includes a $50 gift card to Bass Pro Shops. The "most fish" prize pack will include a $100 gift card to Bass Pro Shops.

RULES:
- We are a NO catch & release facility. All fish must be kept. All fish regardless of size are $5 each (whether it's 9in or 9lbs). We will supply bags and ice for the ride home. You're welcome to bring your own cooler if you'd like.

- One prize pack per family. For example if you believe your family caught both the smallest and largest fish out of the weekend, you have to choose ONE prize pack to go for.

- "Biggest fish" and "smallest fish" will be determined by weight. "Most fish caught" will be determined by the amount of fish caught and paid for by a single person/family throughout the weekend.

- We will keep track of the fish stats throughout the weekend. Winners will be notified the following monday!

THE FARM:
Farm extras such as veggie buckets and the barn will be closed. Some barn animals will still viewable on the outside along with exotic and valley animals. Jungle gyms, yard toys, eye spy trail, and picnic tables are still accessible. Goats will be free roaming. We will have a fire going all weekend!

Pumpkins are here! Costumes are on! "Lagoon" area is open!

As every past October, we will have pumpkins available for purchase. Admission on grounds is still required.

Large & white pumpkins: $7
Small pumpkins: $4

On Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month goats will be in their costumes!

Also our new Lagoon area is open! New jungle gym, picnic area, and better view of our valley animals!

Molasses crossed the rainbow bridge today 🌈

She definitely lived up to her name being as sweet as can be ♥️ Over the past decade and a half, she has given us beautiful babies, attended church events for Christmas festivals, and provided so many snuggles at the farm.

Our hearts are heavy today but we're grateful that her long healthy life was spent with us 🫶🏻 Hug all your fur babies for us today! They just don't live long enough do they? 😭

🥚🐰 EASTER EGG HUNTS 🐰🥚

We will be doing Easter Egg Hunts on Saturday 3/30 and Sunday 3/31. There will be a hunt starting at each hour from 11am-4pm (last hunt starts at 4pm. Six hunts each day). Reservations will not be required. Hunts can be purchased at the time of your family's visit. We will be putting out about 20 dozen eggs each hunt.

Admission on grounds is required.

One dozen (12) eggs: $5
- We will be limiting hunters to one dozen eggs each to ensure all kiddos have a chance to participate. We try our absolute best to have enough eggs ready to go!
- Eggs are plastic with various toys/candies inside
- The Easter Bunny will make an appearance at all hunts!

We will supply each hunter with an egg carton during their hunt to keep track on their egg count. After the hunt, kids are welcome to put their eggs in their own baskets they've brought or gift bags that we will be supplying.

As always we will be offering veggie buckets ($4 each) for purchase to feed the farm animals. The fishing ponds will also be stocked and ready!

We are looking for some folks that would like to join us for the 2024 season!

The position is very part time in the spring which is perfect for students! Please note this job isn't just "playing with animals all day". You will be on your feet completing farm tasks and working with visitors.

Shifts include:
- Open/Close
- Feeding
- Barn Attendant
- Veggie Buckets
- Fish Cleaning

Please note that we primarily operate on WEEKENDS. Weekend availability is necessary along with holidays throughout the season. We are open Friday-Sunday in the spring/fall and Thursday-Sunday throughout summer.

Requirements:
- At least 16 years old
- Weekend availability (We need friday people too!)
- Your own reliable transportation
- Be available on holiday weekends such as Easter, Mother's day, Father's day, etc
- Lift at least 50lbs and perform farm tasks
- Comfortable talking to visitors/general public
- Willing to learn how to clean and handle fish

Hank had a successful visit at WSU's vet clinic!

Everything is fine, we just wanted to do a general check up for him. His physical screening, f***l, and bloodwork all came back great! Also we found out Mr. Hank is a little older than we've thought previously.

Being WSU alumni, owners Logan and Megan always love heading back over to Pullman. Plus Hank gets to visit one of the top veterinary schools in the country!
