Senior Dog Grooming

This sweet guy came in for a much-needed grooming. I believe he’s the oldest of the bunch, which can bring some extra challenges.

Senior dogs often struggle to stand for long periods, so he moved around and sat down frequently throughout the groom. He wasn’t too thrilled about having his face groomed, and his legs were the most challenging part. I suspect he may have hip dysplasia or another condition affecting his back legs.

Because grooming his legs caused some discomfort, we focused on doing as much as we could without pushing him too hard. I’d rather prioritize his comfort over achieving a perfectly groomed look—his well-being always comes first.

This version keeps the original meaning but makes it flow more naturally. Let me know if you’d like any tweaks!

Honestly, I don’t even know where to start, and I really wish I didn’t have to write this.
My grandma has passed away.

First, I’d like to thank everyone who supported her over the years and express my gratitude to those who were truly kind to her. She loved all of you and your pets so much.
For those of you who had the wonderful opportunity to meet and get to know her, you know how big of a loss this is.

You all knew her as Maria—the sweet lady who owned the dog shop or the happy lady from church. But I knew her as Witta. I thank God every day that I had the incredible honor of being her granddaughter. She was more than just a grandma to me; she was like my mom. I got to grow up with her, learn from her, and truly enjoy being around her all the time.

We were very close, and I’ve never imagined life without her. It breaks my heart to think about the things she won’t be here for. Honestly, I don’t even know what else to say—it’s hard to write this.

Maria was the most amazing and beautiful person I’ve ever known, with the biggest heart. She was also incredibly funny and had the cutest laugh.

We miss you, Witta. I miss you. Thank you for everything you’ve done for our family and the shop and for me. Thank you for trusting me with the business you built. I know you’ll always be with me in my heart. Everything I do for the shop, I’ll do with you in mind.

I love you forever, Witta.

Hello Everyone! We hope you’ve had a wonderful Holiday season and are ready for what the New Year brings😊

We’re making a few adjustments to our schedule and wanted to keep you informed.

First, we’re introducing a lunch break! We’ll be closed from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM daily to give our team a chance to enjoy their lunch.

Additionally, our hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays will temporarily change—we’ll be closing at 3:00 PM on those days. We kindly ask for your patience as we work together to plan pick-ups and drop-offs during this time. While this change isn’t permanent, we’re unsure how long it will remain in effect.

We truly appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate these updates. Thank you for being so accommodating!

It’s Groomer Appreciation Day! 🫶🏼

Don’t forget to show your groomers some love today. It is not as easy job and it takes a toll on the body. The amount of patience they have to have on top of everything else they do is incredible.

IT IS TOO HOT TO WALK YOUR DOG

Just to play it safe we will say from 9am to 9pm it is too hot to walk your dog.

Put the top of your hand on the concrete for 10 seconds and if you can’t keep it there or it feels pretty uncomfortable, it is too hot for your dog’s paws.
Please keep your dogs safe. And hydrated!

Look Out!

Keep an eye out for foxtails and goat heads!

Dogs easily get these weeds stuck in their fur and it can cause many problems.
These can get lodged into the skin and create swelling and irritation and may have to be removed by a vet.
Be careful where you walk your furry friend!

It is too hot to leave your dog in your car even with your windows rolled down.
Please keep your doggies inside your nice air conditioned home.

If you can’t leave your doggie at home by himself for a few hours, we provide day care so you can run your errands with the peace of mind that your pup is safe and cool.

SUMMER TIME

Hi everyone!
Here’s your yearly reminder to please keep your pets safe from the heat.

For those of you who walk your dogs, please try out this little trick to see if the ground is too hot for your dog. Personally, I hold my hand down for about 7 to 10 seconds just to be sure. Or you could get up early when it’s still cool outside or wait until the evening after it has cooled. 🐶🐱🐾
I’d even be careful the booties. Heat can still go through them. Protect those toe beans
