First ever flat hide tanned- not as soft as I hoped but damn it looks beautiful.

Hello I’m 34 yr old father of three soon to be four. Love whitetail hunting and have been thinking about taxidermy for years. But recently I decided it was something I’d love to start as a hobby at first and hopefully become more of my life. Soon I’ll have some euro mounts I’ve done to add pictures and a soft tan flat hide I have done. Hope to get more opportunities to advance into shoulder mounts and show my raw talent and hopefully make some beautiful art of someone’s deer.

New to taxidermy. Trying to learn tanning hides,shoulder mounting whitetail deer. I’m currently trying on my own kills. I have a hide and a couple small buck skulls I’m euro mounting. No bucks to shoulder mount yet. If you have a cape or rack that you aren’t using. Id love to take them off your hands to learn with.

If you are looking to get a deer mount I’m not sure I’m ready to jump that far ahead unless you know I’ve never done anything but euro mounts. Drop an email and we can discuss if you want to go ahead or not.

Like I’ve said I’m absolutely new to taxidermy art and don’t want to set prices or anything we can discuss expectations and wether or not I’m the guy for you. I’m trying to learn and hopefully someday make a career out this or at the very least have a fun and profitable hobby.
