Cooperative care pasture in Spicewood/Bee Cave/Lakeway area. One 3 acre paddock available for up to 3 horses. $375 per horse per month. Boarders provide their own hay/feed/shavings. Shared morning feeding schedule is required. Evening feeding is on your own. Note that cooperative care is very nearly self-care. Boarders are required to take care of their own horses, and share feeding responsibilities with other boarders as well. This includes holidays.
Board includes pasture with run-in shed, locking tackroom, feedroom, covered wash/tacking stalls, arenas, round pen, and horse trailer parking. Stalls are available for inclement weather or layups. County and state parks are within 20 min trailer trip for trail riding.
Barn manager will require certain standards of horse, pasture, and stall care. Only low maintenance horses, please. No stallions or horses under 3 years old. Horses must be easy to catch and have great ground manners. Please be advised the terrain is rocky and most horses need front shoes to be comfortable here. This boarding arrangement works best for someone who lives nearby and is willing to do the work according to barn procedures.
Equine health certificate, current vaccinations and proof of negative Coggins must be provided before horse arrives. Barn requires 2 week equine quarantine period. Stable shares property with other businesses.
